The other day I noted that the human pelvis, evolutionary, is a mess. It's probably worth expending on that. The human birth canal is relatively very small, and that is a trade-offs related to us walking bipedality as well as pelvic floor stability.

Boobs are kind of weird, evolutionary. No other mammals have enlarged, permanent mammary organs. We're no sure why they evolve, maybe a by-product of other evolutionary adaptations, maybe some selection process. Change in diet seems to also have been a factor.

Researchers funded by #NASA and #ESA are testing #brain stimulation techniques like #ultrasound to trigger torpor. The work could make #Mars missions feasible and help treat Parkinson’s and stroke on #Earth.

The chemical shield we never notice.
Have you ever noticed how a nasty cut doesn't really hurt until the exact moment you look down and see the blood? It’s not a mind trick; it’s a brilliant survival mechanism.
The moment you get hurt, your body instantly enters fight-or-flight mode, flooding your system with adrenaline and endorphins, your brain’s natural morphine. This chemical shield blocks the pain so you can get to safety. But the second your eyes visually confirm the blood, a psychological alarm bell rings. Your brain realizes the damage is real, drops the shield, and lets the full intensity of the pain rush in. The pain didn't wait for the blood; your brain just waited for the visual proof to tell you it was time to heal. Biology is wild. ⚡️🤯

Did you know your stomach contains hydrochloric acid (HCl)? 🧪
This powerful acid helps break down food and kill harmful microbes, making digestion possible .
The crazy part? Your stomach constantly renews its protective lining so the acid doesn’t digest the stomach itself .
