  1. I might be doing a presentation to my wastewater classmates about composting toilets. I have some ideas about what to present (including video clips), but if you have a compost toilet and have ideas for what might be good to share (or would even be willing to share a photo of your own setup), lmk!

A lot of info about composting toilets is geared towards expensive pre-made systems, but I'm all about the DIY: a bucket with a little cabin built around it... a toilet seat on top, with a separator for solids and liquids.

Also, if you use something other than sawdust for your cover material, lmk.

And, I'd love to know how long you let the poop compost before using, and whether you live in a cold or warm place.

  2. It looks like a situation where careful deterministic programming by someone with some understanding of both sides of the transaction should work.
Two matching modules might work even better.
They might even help people who find that difficult a little.

Throwing books about other things into a bucket and picking out scraps does not seem a superior approach.

  7. This is a really crucial understanding. I'd quibble to say that Biden really DID try to put out the fire--within the constraints of a legal system that mandated he use only a bucket brigade.

One of the toughest lessons we need to consider here is that perhaps, as it exists today, the Constitutional order we need to preserve SIMPLY ISN'T CAPABLE OF an adequate response to a threat that was crafted a quarter-millennium later to specifically exploit its vulnerabilities.

I've been suggesting since at least the latter half of Biden's term that the necessary first step toward democracy's victory is recognizing that we've been resolutely trying to keep playing politics...while its enemies ARE PLAYING A DIFFERENT GAME: WAR.

#TodaysGOP is a hostile foreign terrorist organization at war with the United States, and needs to be treated as such: those who ACTUALLY MEANT their Oath "to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies" need to do so, dragging those enemies out of their offices to stand trial for their crimes--then anyone who has run for or been appointed to political office as a #Trumpublican needs to be banned from public office for life, and anyone who has BEEN REGISTERED AS a Republican in the last five years needs to have their right to vote suspended for at least a decade.

One-party rule ON THE LEFT must then be guarded against by making today's corporatist, establishment Democrats one party, progressives another, and maybe allowing others like what Joe Walsh was putting together on the right, and things like PSL on the left, to have a go at it too.

The fire has simply spread too far, and is moving too fast, to be put out under the rules THAT ENABLED IT TO DO SO IN THE FIRST PLACE.

The scariest thing isn't that, though; it's that people actually slurp up the hog swill he and his cronies slop out and don't question it. He could say the sky's green and they'd believe it.
That's how this fascist got elected.
