Captain of the Sands - Jorge Amado. Novel by the great Brazilian writer about a gang of Bahian street kids. A story of friendship, honor and struggle under the backdrop of Salvador da Bahia—the mystical city macumbas and Candomble. Kind of like a Brazilian Outsiders. Anyone who ran with a pack of hooligans in thier youth will find a lot to love here. A very human tales from a very humanist writer. #books #bookstadon
