Funnynotfunny. #Weiss made good on her plan to get somebody high in the Trump administration on camera so they could "speak for themselves. They even flew people to D.C. on the assurance such an interview would happen.
Guess what happened instead? They canceled at the last minute - which is right in line with Alfonsi got from the Administration in the first place.

James Whale's The Man in the Iron Mask (1939), based (loosely) on the final instalment of Alexander Dumas’ tales of the Three Musketeers.
Visually impressive and worth seeing for some bravura acting, especially Louis Hayward’s extraordinary performances. Joan Bennett is good as well. Entertaining.

@darrellpf @actuallyautistic A year ago I developed #hyperacusis something I had no idea existed (improved a lot in recent months, but still I place dishes and cups down gently on hard surfaces). One therapy said to help is special music playlists. I recognized they were mostly New Age and Ambient ,which I listen to all the time.
On the flip side, having a TV on, even with the sound turned down too low for me to follow it has always been comforting, but that comes from old work environmments.

The title of the book is a bit misleading since throughout most of the lead character's story he is exploring his place in society with full acknowledgment of his true racial identity.
Weldon was a writer + civil rights activist - an early leader of the NAACP. He was known during the Harlem Renaissance for his poems + wrote the lyrics for "Lift Every Voice and Sing", which later became known as the Black National Anthem.

#ICE is advancing throughout the country. Right now, they've either secured rights to a large warehouse near #Belton #missouri or are in the process of working with local Republicans to set up camp elsewhere in #cass county. And the Republicans are pushing for it because "law and order" and "jobs." We don't have a crime problem out here in the boonies. We could use more #jobs, but having ICE yanking people from the local Wal-Mart isn't going to entice more businesses.
