Given that the #FrogFacedGrifter is so keen to champion rights to incite violence in social media posts, I'm sure he won't mind if I encourage anyone who sees him to throw a milkshake at him.
If you can find one in Freeze Peach flavour, so much the better.

I recently(ish) bought 2 things advertised as having 5-year warranties: a Braun shaver and a Vado shower pump.
The shaver failed after 2½ years, the shower pump failed after 5 years and a couple of weeks.
Braun said "sorry, the advert saying 5-year warranty was wrong, it's really only a 2-year warranty, you're on your own".
Vado said "Don't worry, we've recently increased the warranty to 6 years, we'll send an engineer next week".
Won't be buying Braun again.

Pleased to read that "Martha's Rule" seems to be working well. It always seemed like it should be a good idea, but I did worry that it might be the sort of thing that would have unintended consequences.
But results from the pilot sound very positive, so that is excellent news.

I see President Xi is even dressing like a Bond villain now.

Oh, and that's really shitty writing in the article. He wasn't arrested for "making posts about transgender people", he was arrested for making posts *inciting violence* against transgender people.
Big difference.

It's a bit rich for Starmer to criticise the police for arresting someone over a tweet. Never forget that the #TwitterJokeTrial continued long beyond the point where any common sense view would have told you the case should have been dropped at the personal insistence of Starmer back when he was DPP.

I know I've said it before, but I think it bears repeating: we could all reliably get same day GP appointments and see hospital consultants within a week by now if the government had put half as much energy into fixing the NHS as they spend being mean to foreigners

I don't for a minute believe all these rumours that The Rapist is gravely ill: sounds far more like wishful thinking to me.
But if I'm wrong and the rumours are in fact correct, then my first question would be:
Did he let Putin pour the tea at the meeting in Alaska a couple of weeks ago?

Anyone heard of a B2B marketing company called Kompass?
They are telling me they have my email in their database and giving me the opportunity to request deletion.
They never had my permission to have my email in the first place.
Not sure whether requesting deletion would get it deleted or just confirm to them that the email exists.
Thoughts?

If Bad Enoch thinks that leaving North Sea oil in the ground is bad for the economy, wait until she finds out what 4 degrees of global warming will do to the economy.
Honestly, the levels of raw stupidity with some of our politicians are off the charts.

This is excellent news.
OK, we should have been vaccinating kids against chickenpox for at least the last 25 years, but better late than never.
This will prevent a great deal of misery, and even save a few lives. Most kids recover uneventfully from chickenpox (though it's still not fun), but some have serious complications, and in rare cases, they can be fatal. We typically see about 20 deaths per year in the UK.

I have no interest in football, but even so, it is beautifully heartwarming to see just how much joy Grimsby Town fans have got from their unexpected victory yesterday.

@pvonhellermannn It's so bizarre. Starmer has many faults, but he's not an idiot. Surely he must realise that all this stuff just plays into the hands of the #FrogFacedGrifter
And yet he does it anyway. I really don't understand why.
Best guess is that it was a condition of his sponsors in return for letting him be PM for a term. Sounds a bit tinfoil hat, I know, but I honestly can't think of any other explanation that makes even the slightest bit of sense.
-
@Geri What courts? I assume that the #FrogFacedGrifter would abolish them (at least as they apply to the government) as one of his first acts if voters were crazy enough to put him in charge.
-
@nicol Agreed, but I see absolutely no sign of that happening. Starmer seems determined to spend most of his political energy talking about immigration.
Why, I have no idea. He's not a complete moron. He must know that it plays straight into the hands of the #FrogFacedGrifter

CW: UK Politics
Just imagine how awesome the NHS would be by now if the Labour government put about half as much energy into fixing it as they're putting into appeasing the far right with their immigration policies

So sitting quietly holding up a placard is terrorism, but encouraging angry mobs to gather to intimidate vulnerable people is just normal politics and perfectly legal?
Please make it make sense.
