They want to know what systems you owned, what scale you operated under, and how your past decisions reduced friction for an engineering team. No parser score tells that story.
Most candidates spend weeks tweaking margins, swapping fonts, and stuffing synonyms into white text blocks to game an automated threshold. That is time stolen from gathering evidence.
Fix your layout once. Use a clean, single-column text structure with standard headings and no graphics. Once the machine can read your text cleanly without choking, stop thinking about the parser entirely.
Spend every remaining hour on the evidence. Document the migration, the outage you debugged, the legacy code you retired, and the specific metrics that matter to the people building the product.
