Has anyone used both #spotify and #AmazonMusic ? What do you think of the services, particularly in comparison to each other?
My subscription for Spotify is coming due & I'm considering switching to Amazon, since I have a Prime membership currently. However, I've been using Spotify forever - my main playlist has ~950 songs, and I have about ten other playlists. The idea of transferring it all over is... daunting. 🥴

CW: Rant about boomer NYT article that my boomer Dad sent me.
My dad just sent me the most #boomer NYT article. Ok, that's a lie, he's sent me a few "most boomer NYT articles."
This one has a few good points talking about how many people want to be victims in their life story (cuz I will say we all should self-reflect on our purpose for our thinking patterns)... But the reason THIS article gave?
"Therapeutic culture", which apparently causes "narcissistic" behavior. Acknowledging #trauma now makes you unable to be a healthy human. Ofc, "horrible" words like "microaggressions" and "trigger warnings" weren't far behind. 🙄
And just in case it needs to be said:
You shouldn't make "victimization" your whole identity. However blaming "therapy culture" is so disingenuous. Quoting a church that has paid money into forced conversion therapy and other insidious shit that requires therapy is also disingenuous. Having no discourse about the pipeline of algorithms-based social media, backed by corporate greed, & the content you're criticizing is disingenuous.Not mentioning the power of reworking trauma as a call to arms to incite change is also disingenuous.
Oof I'm getting heated. Gotta say, coming home and realizing your father is one of the "why is the world changing in a way that doesn't directly benefit me?! grump grump" men is... Hella disappointing.
And the title of the nyt article?
" Grow up America!"

I'm considering coming up with a white person name, just for these food-ordering, etc, moments. When I was young, I rebelled. "LET THEM STRUGGLE, MY NAME IS MY #IDENTITY!" But now I'm old, crotchety, & just wanna quickly go home with my bag of food like some concrete jungle #cryptid.
So... What should my #whitepeople name be (note, some of these are not originally western names but are easier for white ppl than my current name)?

I lost my previous #reversecultureshock posts about being back home, due to the #migration, and I'm feeling too lazy to re-type them, so here's the TL;DR:
✔️ I am like the only one masking and it's weird
✔️ Jetlag sucks
✔️ I don't take off my shoes before hopping on the waxing table?!
✔️ My spicy-level tolerance has seriously decreased and I'm pretty sure my ancestors are weeping
✔️ What even are ounces? Can't visualize it to save my life. I'm used to everything being in milliliters and I miss it.
