The World is burning, Finland gets the #sunsets.
This was yesterday.. Dunno were there others who stopped to admire and photo it, and understood why it was so pretty. Or were they just like #ThisIsFine.
Yes, I did admire it, too. One had to be dead inside, if not. But I did remember, too.
In #Finland we haven't had any #wildfires this #summer.
Yet.

The modern web is going great, example number 32,767:
I go to my local city's parks and recreation site and click on the button for the class catalog, and it gives me a PDF of the catalog, except...
It's NOT a PDF. There is a PDF of it, somewhere, but what I get is a bloated, slow JS view of the pdf hosted on some hellsite called fliphtml5 dot com.
I start looking for a way to download the stupid thing, and the best I can find is a downloader site which downloads it and serves you up a PDF... except... the PDF is basically just a stack of JPEG screenshots of whatever fliphtml5 barfs up, and somehow, even better, it's only the first four pages.
I guess I'm going to keep the paper version of the catalog, then.
