I am now proud to announce that I have successfully built #CyanogenMod (the well-known #AOSP fork) on Debian 12. It took a small amount of patching to get working but it wasn't actually that bad.
Next up: Forking CM11, changing the branding (to #KittyKat), and making some changes.

When building alsa-utils with a custom toolchain + sysroot, I get this error:
libtool: error: cannot find the library '/usr/lib/libasound.la' or unhandled argument '/usr/lib/libasound.la'
However, the file does exist inside of the sysroot, and configure claims to use the sysroot that the compiler specifies.
How do I solve this?

You can actually use your own custom IRC server too! This is actually the only way to do it as of writing this since there is no librekit IRC server yet. I personally use #inspircd as the server software when testing the librekit chat client.

I've been looking for Android Dev Phone 1 OS images for quite a while, but most (if not all) of them appear to be lost to time.

I cannot figure out how to add JS bindings to a CEF app.
I made the app class extend CefRenderProcessHandler, I implemented GetRenderProcessHandler, and added an override for OnContextCreated.
But... it just does nothing? using the logging macros doesn't work either. or debug breakpoints. I have literally tried everything I can think of at this point, but nothing causes it to trigger OnContextCreated.
What am I doing incorrectly???

For reasons I don't understand, CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework) will ALWAYS use X11 by default when running on Linux. If DISPLAY is not set, it will simply fail. So if you're on wayland, you need xwayland for it to run at all.
HOWEVER, if you simply add "--ozone-platform=wayland" it works???

So... I need a new logo for SandwichOS, but I want to keep the original design idea of a sandwich with eyes.
