I had some ideas, which I have not yet totally achieved
I wanted to think up something based on the guarantee that you can explain something, a term: not really like a domain of expertise...
rather in terms of being able to explain to someone else, be it at the same level or a less advanced level
Not a 100% guarantee without error... But like a bag of terms, and concepts, and relations someone is at ease with... that someone guarantees:
- 1. to be able to talk about
- 2. to detect false things on the subject.It's no longer a question of title, phD, career or else...
It could avoid issues like a pair of experts in Petrology Geology publishing a few paper denying Climate Change, then they create the "Syposium of the Consensus that everyone agrees Petrology Geologist understand Climate more than Climatologist" <- true fact, I just changed the name #agnotology
I think it is related: playing with knowledge that is a little too far from one's zone of expertise (as an Engineer that's what I do every day wrt Science)

@benjamingeer you need some level of expertise for sure, but for most tools (such as Neovim) you shouldn't need much knowledge of their internals to maintain queries for them. At least in #mergiraf we try our best to offer a relatively simple interface that people can use with no knowledge of Rust. For tree-sitter parser maintenance itself, it is not rare to stumble on problems that require deeper tree-sitter knowledge, but in general it's relatively shallow I would say.

Dans la littérature consacrée à l’état des relations sino-américaines, il n’est guère facile de se frayer un espace, a fortiori lorsque l’attention ne porte pas sur des aspects particuliers, mais sur le tableau d’ensemble – dans l’espace et dans le temps – de l’affrontement qui se dessine entre les États-Unis et la République populaire de Chine. Cela vaut tout particulièrement pour les travaux européens non anglophones, pénalisés par le faible intérêt accordé à un thème que le public continental perçoit certes comme crucial, mais qu’il tend à vivre forcément en spectateur passif, compte tenu de la marginalisation croissante de l’Union européenne dans le cadre économique et géopolitique mondial.
