  1. Work shill. I will be running a 2 hour interactive workshop next week on #redhat #linux #imagemode AKA #bootc upstream and what forms the basis of a few really cool community projects including #bazzite / #universalblue

This is an #APAC/#ANZ friendly time-slot next Tuesday - register here : red.ht/3ZrFJrK

  2. Just pushed 0.3.1 alpha of #foxing ; for one-shot use cases it appears to work pretty well and this release integrates blake3 for signature checks for fast resync. I've been testing with ~256GB non synthetic data. I would cautiously say it's somewhat useable for one-shot use cases now. Over the next week am going to be working on implementing delta chunk updates codeberg.org/aenertia/foxing/ #linux #filesystems

  4. Eugh #zoom is so disruptive. Sad that we had grieferers hijack the zoom share from the room. For #wids. I'm all for hybrid conf/events but online needs to be seperate from speakers terminals and moderated

  5. At the #wids event at #vuw this evening . Good turnout so far :)

  6. @seawall crystalised ginger and dried apricots are my go to #scone recipe.

  7. I've been obsessed with the #Buchla #248 #MARF and the incredible sequencing that it can do. There is an amazing #VCVRack interpretation of #SuzanneCiani's #BuchlaCookBook and I had a brain wave two days ago while staring at the ceiling in the hospital (I am home now).

What we have here is my first audio demo of my #AS248Sequencer. It's a bodged #MARF-Lite where I have movement, multiple play-heads (3 in this case) and have made my own versions of the "Ciani Sequences" from the Cook Book. There's complex oscillations and low-pass gates. All in #BitwigStudio. It is ridiculously fun to perform on and hours roll by and my mind wanders to the good places.

I can be a little loud at parts so mind your ears!

  8. So sorry! Was silence. Have re-rendered.

Eerie #Winter #ElectronicMusic ideas generated from #BitwigStudio and #VCVRack with the #Venjolin module. I've routed my to work with #Plaits, loads of #ChronoBlob delay and #Plateau reverb.

  9. @mntmn @decibyte #BitwigStudio and #VCVRack. I wish I could get #AudioModelling’s #SwamHorns working on Linux, but the licensing software makes it too hard.

  10. Portable A/C unit exhaust vent (to outside) did not come with any kind of grille. But I don't want bugs and critters nesting, or rain coming into the unit. So I did what any maker with a 3d printer would do and designed one. Fits perfect, actually too perfect, as I allowed for a little clearance, it is a loose friction fit so I put 4 dabs of glue around the edge to keep it in place. Quite happy with how it turned out. #3dprinting #hacktheplanet #makersgonnamake #makersmovement

  11. I've got a #BitwigStudio preset that is inspired by #MutableInstruments #Blades. It seems a natural offshoot of my #ShermanikFilterbank to explore other #TwinPeakFilter types.

I hope to have some demos and a web page for this in the next few days.

It might fit well on the #BonkWave #SampleChallenge

  17. Here’s the failed element showing details of scale and springy heating bit. #brewery #RepairsAndMaintenance

  18. I really enjoy these secret #brewery scenes that I get to experience. This abstract study of beer foam and stainless steel is only visible if you are stood in the operator’s station during canning.

  19. #TIL that the empty #brewery #GrainSacks make excellent mini-tarps for covering a window while waiting on glass of the correct size to reglaze with.

Yes, I measured too big. A frustratingly rookie mistake, but I’ve not reglazed a window since the early 1980s. Anyhow, 24 hours should also allow the glue repairs to the frame to cure properly (it’s made of brittle cedar, or redwood, and it split when I pulled the glass out).

Annoying, but also a brilliant distraction from all the things.

  20. You've got mere seconds to open the emergency door, get to it!!!
