Agreed, we go out to eat once a day because we are two well-funded blokes. But we still won't pay more than $40 for the two of us, and at the places we eat, it's usually less. But the food is incredible; we mainly eat at LivEat in Moonah, Tasmania, sometimes at Twister Sister in Collins Street in the Hobart CBD.

Tonight I hosted a #TasLUG meetup in #Hobart, which is the first meeting we’ve have in over 5 years ( yes pre covid times ). 18 amazing people headed out to enjoy some networking with like minded people, to listen to myself and @kgoetz give some talk summaries from #EO2025, and share some pizza and drinks. It was great to see some younger people (high schoolers) coming along and joining in too. My cup is feeling full tonight.

Over the weekend, I signed myself up for refurbishing a #Hobart Kitchenaid that as best I can tell dates to sometime in the mid-1970s. It is probably 50 years old, and it needs some love and care. #RestorationProject

ETA à #Hobart le 03/11 pour le début de sa 7e mission de soutien à la logistique en #Antarctique #MSLA. Around 40m off the coast that my school is situated on, there's been a bunch of action with a barge with an excavator on top. It's been picking up something from a container and dumping it into the sea off to the side - It's almost comical how the excavator causes the whole barge to sag to the left.
Apparently they're building an artificial reef - from what I heard, the material is something like oyster shells.
