We keep forgetting that there is this whole other world of super angelic, #hardWorking people that feel they need to #eatMeat #nd #poutry everyday and get sick constantly which they suppress the symptoms of with a bucket of drugs.
And many have no hobby, and die of meatBourne illnesses pretty young, and the corporation pretends to care by donating money to a CEO mate running a #cancerResearch thing, which gives them #credibility and a tax write-off.
We keep forget that world exists.

Camera bag: packed. Extra batteries: charged. Two SD cards: properly formatted. Backup power pack for phone: charged. Presto (transit) card: loaded with more than enough money for the trip. Layered clothing: selected. Tripod: ready to go, in its bag with the travel strap. Brand-new variable ND filter: cleaned and packed. Eclipse glasses: packed. Granola bars: in the emergency snack pocket. Sunscreen for my pale-ass self: packed. Feeling about as ready as I can be to take the #GOtrain into the path of totality tomorrow, and pleased that the #eclipse fortuitously happens on a day off for me.
Now, to not get anywhere near enough sleep, because my brain is DEFINITELY going to be convinced that I've forgotten something wildly-important.

Mum: Dad took a nice photo today. shows me It's nice isn't it?
Me: Hm. Not bad﹆.
Mum: goes off in a huff
Me: Well it's no "Highland Cows" (in my opinion the best photo dad has ever taken), but it's nice.
Mum: You pick everything to pieces.﹆unsaid: It's a nice arrangement for shooting but the backlighting is terrible and the angles warp the shot.
Conversing with neurotypicals is hard. They ask for one thing but demand another. When asked a question, I give my honest answer. So sue me.
This happens a lot with mum (NT) and me (ND).
When she asks my opinion of any food she makes, she usually just wants an echo chamber or some kind of placative endearment. She does not want my analysis of which ingredients she used or complicated remarks on flavours, and is most certainly not interested in hearing about what could possibly improve the recipe.
