5th avenue, McGuiness Boulevard, and Fordham road were set for pedestrian, cycling, transit, and/or safety improvements and all were cancelled after wealthy donors complained.
And NYC is supposed to be the city of yes? More like the city of pay to play.

Opposite Billings Lawn somewhat north of Inspiration Point on the Empire State Trail roughly at GPS coordinates 40°51'36.3"N 73°56'07.6"W or 40.860078, -73.935440 there is a terribly narrow pinch point. 9A has three driving lanes AND immense breakdown lane. Yesterday I took a picture of this fun little obstacle course required to get onto the #QueensBlvdPBL
Today, they were actively doing construction on it, and all of the construction worker trucks & cars were parked blocking the bike lane.
The Queens Blvd bike lane doesn't feel very "protected" these days, and it's so depressing that their big capital projects plan for the corridor won't fix it (or will even make it worse). 🙁
