What are people's #thoughts on #RustDesk ?

It's a very divisive piece of #software It's certainly very feature rich and it's very responsive too when I tested it.

But a lot of people are worried by the #China #relays problem and I see a lot of seemingly knowledgeable people talking about some of the traffic being unencrypted.

So I wonder what the clued up #Fediverse thinks? I'm especially interested from an #infosec angle, since that's the area where many eyes count the most.

I'm always interested in everything. I sometimes talk about those and sometimes about #Matrix and sometimes about #Nostr

And i talk about #Mastodon and #Misskey there too. I just don't see the disconnections.

It's been that way in most of my life too. It was s problem when I was younger because I often came up with analogies people didn't like.

I tend to temper myself now because I realised some time ago most people don't like this #chaos but it gives me an #outlier #perspective.

I've mostly used #kodachi as my go to choice when I run a #linux #liveUSB but I'm going to move to #tails - mostly just for for the change, but it should be interesting.

In my experience #Tox, espcially #atox, is a lot more reliable (connectiivty wise) than the other two, though #cwtch is getting faster each time I try it

Some third party #Linux #apps still #work with #Twitter. #Cawbird still works for example. What on earth is going on therer?

I only just noticed as I was tidying up old twitter accounts. I might leave that one for now just out of #curiosity.

#qtox and #atox worked perfectly well when I tried them, but the windows version was flaky when I tried that.

I know some people are sniffy about windows but to mainstream at all they'll have to get that right. You can't ignore that many users.

@rich To some extent I think that's down to early adopter syndrome. I join loads of new platforms and in the early days they're all like this.

This is just on a bigger scale because it's taken off quickly, but it's not too different on the #disrootorgand #matrixdotorg #chats
