What are people's #thoughts on #RustDesk ?
It's a very divisive piece of #software It's certainly very feature rich and it's very responsive too when I tested it.
But a lot of people are worried by the #China #relays problem and I see a lot of seemingly knowledgeable people talking about some of the traffic being unencrypted.
So I wonder what the clued up #Fediverse thinks? I'm especially interested from an #infosec angle, since that's the area where many eyes count the most.

I'm always interested in everything. I sometimes talk about those and sometimes about #Matrix and sometimes about #Nostr
And i talk about #Mastodon and #Misskey there too. I just don't see the disconnections.
It's been that way in most of my life too. It was s problem when I was younger because I often came up with analogies people didn't like.
I tend to temper myself now because I realised some time ago most people don't like this #chaos but it gives me an #outlier #perspective.

@rich To some extent I think that's down to early adopter syndrome. I join loads of new platforms and in the early days they're all like this.
This is just on a bigger scale because it's taken off quickly, but it's not too different on the #disrootorgand #matrixdotorg #chats

On Christmas 1895, riverboat gambler William "Stack" Lee shot and killed William Lyons in a St Louis saloon in a dispute over a Stetson hat. The take quickly entered folklore and song. In different telling, the titular character can be a hero, anti hero and outlaw, a 20th century manifestation of the Trickster, defying convention and blending the lines between failure and triumph.
