So, this chair isn't doing very well and I'm simultaneously sick of looking down at my laptop as the primary screen, so in an effort to fix obviously poor posture, I'm considering buying another screen and mounting it on an arm at proper eye level, a new chair, and since there's no room left on this desk, a bigger desk too...
Been looking at the #SecretLab Magnus Pro XL desk & monitor arm, and their Titan Evo chairs. And if I'm getting another monitor, I'm thinking something 21:9

It's been hot and sunny all day, clear skies, the solar has been in direct sunlight for most of the day, but the charger has been restricting it to 10w and floating the battery most of this time. It's an MPPT so this suggests the battery is full, right?
So why would I still be getting a rapid voltage drop when the sun disappears, until the load turns off?

Don't suppose anybody has any #ffmpeg trickery for not resetting the seek bar to zero in a #Youtube live stream?
I have a cron that does a killall ffmpeg and then invokes a fresh ffmpeg command every 10 minutes as a self recovery mechanic in case something goes wrong, but it causes the feed to lose its seek bar history each time. Adding genpts to fflags doesn't fix it, nor does adding frag_keyframe+empty_moov to movflags.

For my #RaspberryPi in an IP67 junction box project, I've designed a hopefully accurately measured out funnel to mount a square 25mm fan to a round M20 breather plug. I just need to drop by my parents' house at some point to #3DPrint it.

For the first time since Christmas... IT'S CHOCOLATE MAKING TIME!
1kg of cocoa beans from Finca Paso Cocodrilo, Guatemala. We're about to QC each individual bean as they go into the roaster (holes/cracks in the shell are no good).
We haven't had these beans before and they already smell delicious. Usually they basically smell of vinegar at this stage.

Just pushed an update to my #Wordpress plugin for restricting admin panel and #XMLRPC access to specific countries. You can now totally disable access to XMLRPC if it's not used, which saves from having to do country lookups on any of the traffic hitting it, and thus helps keep you within your free lookups quota 👍

We look after servers for a few web agencies, not just our own, so I spend half of my time fighting off malicious bots and I'm noticing a huge increase in content scrapers coming from TOR exit IPs so I'm considering throwing together a cron to pull in and firewall all TOR exit IPs every morning, across all of the servers we manage.
I can't decide though, if any legitimate website visits would be blocked by this?
Do people actually use #TOR for web browsing? Emailing? Anything?

I feel I'm posting too many bridge shots at this point, but I've been working on shaders today, and this is what I ended up with for the stones. Really, I wanted to also chip away at the surface, but apparently I'm just terrible at procedural bumpmap generation so that might be a cancelled plan at this point... more colour variation now at least, & less brutal looking grooves.
Also been working on a skin shader, but I'm not yet happy enough to show that one off.

My #Lua built #3dengine for #Solar2D is now #opensource on Github! Actually, it's been open source for a year now, but uploading to Github makes that feel a bit more official than just as a zip file in the forums.
It's incomplete and crude, but should be a fantastic project for somebody with more time than me to pick back up and further develop. I'd LOVE to see some forks popping up of this one 😉
