I should have been a cop.
At the time it required college and this kid had not even earned his GED yet.
Also after the Navy dude ghosted my butt I really hadn't had the courage left in me to try.
I calm people down fairly well but maybe an officer with a then undiscovered mood disorder is not the best idea after all.

I’ve been singing the praises of Megan Park as a writer/director a lot recently. And also pointing to her acting performance in What If from 2013. She’s phenomenal in a strong cast. Including Daniel Radcliffe, Zoe Kazan, Adam Driver, Mackenzie Davis, and Rafe Spall.
I think I’ve talked myself into rewatching What If this evening.

El gran "What If" de los ovnis: El negocio detrás de una verdad extraterrestre
Hagamos un ejercicio mental y juguemos a la teoría de qué pasaría si todo lo que dice Donald Trump sobre los secretos del espacio fuera completamente real. Imaginemos por un momento que el Área 51 esconde naves espaciales, que los avistamientos son verdaderos y que la tecnología que usamos hoy en nuestros teléfonos o computadoras nació de copiar los motores y microchips de los marcianos. Si este escenario fuera una realidad oculta, la pregunta obligada es qué pasaría con nosotros el día después de enterarnos de la verdad más grande de la historia humana.
El primer gran cambio golpearía a la economía del planeta, ya que si los gobiernos aceptaran que tienen motores extraterrestres que funcionan con energía limpia y eterna, el negocio del petróleo, el gas y la luz se vendría abajo en pocos días. Pero aquí es donde debemos recordar quién está dando los anuncios: Donald Trump es, ante todo, un empresario capitalista que construyó su carrera pensando en las ganancias y el control. Si esta tecnología alienígena fuera real, un hombre de negocios jamás la regalaría ni la compartiría de forma abierta con el resto del mundo, sino que la guardaría bajo llave para vender las patentes al mejor postor y asegurar que su nación mantenga el control financiero total sobre los demás países.
Al contrastar esta hipótesis con la realidad material, nos damos cuenta de que el escándalo actual no busca liberar conocimientos cósmicos, sino mantener ocupada a la opinión pública. Mientras la gente se emociona imaginando naves espaciales y marcianitos, los verdaderos movimientos ocurren en la Tierra con nuevas leyes de comercio, peleas por el dinero y juicios políticos. Si las teorías locas fueran verdad, estaríamos ante el secreto comercial más grande del siglo XXI, pero como todo se reduce a discursos sin pruebas biológicas o físicas, este gran teatro demuestra que el ruido sobre los alienígenas sigue siendo el mejor método para ocultar los verdaderos negocios de los gobernantes aquí abajo.
