These disruptions are simultaneously created and exacerbated by extreme poverty and education disparities, and help to explain a high rate of child mortality. At the same time, the intensification of climate change has resulted in increasing difficulty for Wayuu communities to maintain themselves in ways they are accustomed to. ¡El momento de la verdad ha llegado!
Estoy refinado un modelo ASR "whisper-small" para transcribir en wayuunaiki. Utilizo un Mac con el chip M1, y estima que la tarea tomará entre 19 y 22 horas. Sospecho que será el primer modelo de Reconocimiento Automático del Voz (ASR) desarrollado para una lengua indígena colombiana. Espero que sea el comienzo de muchos otros proyectos similares. En los próximos días, compartiré los resultados del experimento.
