In another #walking update, yesterday saw me reach 1,000 miles walking on my #walkingpad since I bought it last October. That's about 70 miles per month.

This has been transformational in making it easier for me to get my steps in during the day.

I no longer have a chair in my office as when I'm not walking at my desk I just stand.

Typical walking speeds while walking are 3.0 - 3.5 kmph.

I bought a 'walking pad' last month during the Amazon Prime Day sale. Naturally, I am tracking all of the steps I walk with it and I've just passed 100,000 steps.

These are nearly all steps taken while I'm actively working. It's proving revolutionary for me. I think I'm losing weight too as my daily step count tends to end up closer to 15K rather than the usual 10K that it used to be.

I received a replacement #Kingsmith #WalkingPad for the one I originally purchased. The original one would suddenly speed up or slow down while I was walking, even though it was set to Manual mode at 3km/h. I thought it was probably defective so I asked that they send a replacement.

Well, I almost fell of a few times already because these problems seem to not be isolated to just 1 unit. I will ask for a refund and look for a different brand of #underDesk #walking #treadmill.

In the meantime, I'm now waiting for my replacement #WalkingPad - the original had some glitch where it would suddenly and randomly speed up or slow down, which is a bit dangerous if you're slowly walking while focusing on work.

But the customer service so far has been very good.

However, I may have to get a replacement, because this particular #WalkingPad is having some weird glitches with the speed. It's supposed to be a constant 3km/h but every now and then it will either speed up for 2-3 steps, or it will suddenly almost stop, then really speed up, and only then get back to normal. It doesn't happen often, but it's unpredictable.

Took a little rest, but now I'm back on the #walkingpad 😊 It's so much better than just STANDING at my desk!
