What started as just redoing some cables around my desk turned in to a whole home office rearrangement (I share the space with our dining room). What I thought was going to be a half hour of moving and labeling a few cables turned in to 6 hours of rearrangement, cleaning, and throwing out junk. Went up and down the basement stairs 24 times according to my watch. But, I think I’m cool with the results.

Gestern Abend ruft meine Mama an, mit der Bitte: Ob ich nicht doch noch mal vorbeikommen könnte. Sie bräuchte das gerade. Sie möchte nicht so viel alleine sein.

Diesen Wunsch kann ich meiner Mama natürlich nicht ausschlagen.

 "Morgen geht es leider nicht. Ich habe noch einen Arzttermin und muss mit den Kindern zum Arzt. Aber Dienstag fahre ich nach der Arbeit direkt zu euch."

"Danke, du kannst auch bei uns ganz normal weiterarbeiten. Das ist kein Thema. Ich möchte nur nicht alleine sein. Ich bringe dir deinen Kaffee ins Büro und mache dir was zu essen.“

(Unter anderen Umständen würde ich diese Situation hart feiern.)

"Das kriegen wir hin."

Heute Morgen dann eine Mail an meinen Chef, eigentlich nur zur Info Ich weiß, wie er tickt. Die Rahmenvereinbarung lässt das, was ich vorhabe, eigentlich nicht zu. Aber ich weiß auch, dass bei uns in der Führungsetage Konsens herrscht: Regeln sind Regeln, aber manchmal kann man sie beugen, wenn es einem Menschen hilft.

Wie erwartet kam sofort die Antwort:

„Natürlich. Mach.“

Also habe ich dem Team Bescheid gesagt.

Natürlich haben alle Verständnis, nur eine Person knüpft das Ganze an ein paar Bedingungen. Auch das wundert mich leider überhaupt nicht. Ich habe diese zur Kenntnis genommen, werde es ignorieren und die Bedingungen nicht erfüllen.
(Manche Menschen überschätzen ihre Rolle wirklich gewaltig.)

Den Verlauf habe ich direkt an meinen Chef weitergeleitet. Mit der Bitte um Kenntnisnahme und dem Hinweis, dass ich darauf nicht eingehen werde.

Den Rest werden vermutlich die Kolleginnen mit der betreffenden Person regeln.
