I may have mentioned once or twice that Canadians are #Beaver lovers but I somehow missed the invasion of Castor Canadensis in Toronto for the recently completed #WorldCup. 50 Beavers were on display around the city, each 4 ft statue decorated to represent a country participating in the tournament. Apparently the U.S. inspired statue was destroyed through vandalism. I understand the anger but don't punish the Beaver.

Eric the Red was an RCO for the CSS Acadia, a Canadian Scientific Ship that served the Royal Canadian Navy in both world wars and now a designated national historic site on the Halifax harbour. Eric served with distinction for almost 20 years.
