Okay. Today’s rapidly-forming plan:
Shower and dress, then head to the local pharmacy which opens at 8am. 💊
Immediately afterwards, Starbucks for several gallons of coffee. ☕️
Check out from hotel and dump bags for safe-keeping. Then six hours of free time before the train to Narita. ✈️
If I can get this cough under control, I’ll be heading straight to the local super sento for a soak and steam. ♨️
And my last tonkatsu curry for a while. 🍛

Ugh. I went to bed last night feeling marginally better, only to spend all night coughing.
Wide awake since 5am and my first of two flights home isn’t until 10:30pm tonight. Wishing I could just teleport straight to my own bed.

Okay, so I've had some water, taken some more flu tablets and almost completed my packing for the return home. I'm feeling marginally better and can envision myself hoovering up ramen in a few hours. 🍜 A definite improvement.
In other good news, I got an upgrade on one leg of my return journey: from Narita to Kuala Lumpur. ✈️
I plan to stick close to the hotel in #Shinjuku today, take loads of pics, and keep taking the tablets! #TokyoTrip #Tokyo

Slept for 9hrs straight overnight. But don't feel rested at all 😭 And still coughing like a dog.
As a result, I'm going to be having a very quiet day in Tokyo today. Including the dreading packing, which I'm dreadful at. lol.

Obviously peaked too soon and tried to do too much today. Once again feeling dreadful and so I’m already in bed. I’ve developed a very unattractive cough. 😷
Hoping to get some sleep courtesy of my precious, precious Night Nurse tablets 💊
And hoping that tomorrow, I’ll be feeling much better for my last full day in #Tokyo 🗼

This is becoming quite the habit. Coffee and matcha cake, this time sitting outside in the sunshine in #Kagurazaka. ☕️

After this morning's now-traditional coffee at the Starbucks next to my hotel, I'm heading up to #Kagurazaka to explore another new-to-me neighbourhood in #Tokyo.
It's forecast to be 16C and sunny today, so I'm also going to head to the Shinjuku Gyoen (huge park) to soak up some of that lovely sun ☀️

Went for yet another #onsen soaking session, this time at the gorgeous Tokyo Somei Onsen Sakura, in Sugamo. No pics of the interior obviously, but take it from me, it’s worth a visit. Absolutely gorgeous. Also had lunch there and it was perfect. #TokyoTrip #Japan

A game of two halves here in #Tokyo today. Enjoyed some wonderful blue skies and sunshine and a trip down to Shimokitazawa.
Sadly I've been hit with a nasty dose of something, including temperature, chills, sweats and sneezes. Had to head back to my hotel early. Luckily I have cold & flu pills and will have an early night.
Gutted to be ill while in Japan! 🤒
