#Hakone ist eines der beliebtesten Ausflugsziele in #Japan. Insbesondere eine Fahrt mit der Hakone-Seilbahn gehört für viele Besucher dazu. Nun können Fahrgäste eine besondere Gondel mieten, die mit einem Dolby Atmos-System ausgestattet wurde.

In general #Hakone seems to be a popular international tourist spot - massively outnumbering the domestic tourists even with at least one primary school outing we saw. Makes sense as close enough to Tokyo for a day trip by train, and excellent sightseeing. Just be prepared for lots of queues…

We went to #Hakone on Sunday, needed more time really so recommend an earlier start for a day trip. We drove by car from Tokyo to Hakonemachi-ko, “Pirate Ship” 🏴‍☠️ via Motohakone-ko to Togendai-ko, ropeway cable car via Owakudai to Sounzan, funicular railway to Godan (and curry lunch), taxi back to Togendai (would have been very tight by cable car), boat to Motohakone-ko (disembarked early by mistake), lakeside walk back to Hakonemachi-ko (20mins, very pleasant and very few people).
