I just realized that Stranger Things is really just an homage to Generation X, itself.
We're another Lost Generation, sandwiched between larger populations of parents and grandparents, children and grandchildren.
We were the "Latch-key Kids" in middle school and "The Slacker Generation" in high school. We inspired War Games AND Breakfast Club.
But maybe Lost Boys most of all.
Except for Barrack Obama and Kamala Harris, who each broke all molds, the torch has not been passed.
