Here’s day 7 of my trip to #Scotland #Skye #OuterHebrides, it’s time to cover some ground in order to be home tomorrow. Land travel takes more time than flying but it’s also much and much more rewarding #staygrounded #noflying ⛴️🚞🚄🚌 first leg is the ferry back from #Tarbert #Harris to #Uig on #Skye.

Then, lunch at #Tarbert (nice place if good weather) and then hitchhiking. Well, that proved really hard here on #Harris. Walked for over an hour along the road. Then, a perfect ride to the trail head of my walk #Scotland #hiking

Finally an update on day 3 of a #scotland train and hiking trip. No trains today, but ample hiking 😊 took the ferry 🚢 from #Uig to #Tarbert, Outer Hebrides. Fantastic weather and some nice wildlife along the way. Gannets (Jan-van-gent), razorbills (kleine alk), puffin (papegaaiduiker), more great northern diver (ijsduiker) and even two dolphins 🐬
