CW: A random rambling essay about folk art and self-expression!
I love how folk art (at least in the book I'm reading) seems like a huge "f you!!!" to the modern, mainstream society of artists where art is only accepted when it follows these certain guidelines and rules. Now, again, don't cancel me for this.
From experience, I've tried doing "normal" art for years with my artstyle and I've struggled often to learn certain things that come easy for many other artists (jealousy!!!!) and I've nearly quit twice because of this.
So reading about folk art is such a breath of fresh air. It shows that art, no matter where you come from or how much you practically *know* about art, you can still make something that's worthwhile and pleasing to the eyes. If that's called "näive art" then I'd say it's more of a huge eye-opener than it is naive. Because in a world where you have to adhere to every rule and perfection there is to be, the most rebellious thing you can do is be "imperfect".
Plus, we can always hide by being good and saying "it's an artstyle!!" /j
Again, don't cancel me for this. Mainstream and modern art has its own quirks, and I'm always grateful to learn from them. But I believe art should still first and foremost be, a means of self-expression, and not to prove how perfect or extremely talented you are in art. Because what is art if it has no soul?
And speaking of souls, no wonder we love indie artists more (poetry or artwork) more than the mainstream. Because they create something unique, something homely, that companies and corporations can only strive to create.
Just my two cents... or none, perhaps.

Things I particularly like about Littlefur Art. Things that make it "pop".
And, to an extend, expanded into Babyfur, Middle and Diaperfur territory. Give those adorable overgrown kid the same love, please!
(and no, I have no problem with diaperfur themed stuff. Adults can delve into any topic they want, it's cool!)(And the question, am I actually a Little? Or am I actually a Middle? idk.. )
Carefree / Slice of life scene: Pretty self-explanatory and probably the most important one. No matter if indoor or outdoor, if it could be taken straight from a photo album, I might like it.
Cute, adorable, 100% innocent.
Okay, a bit of mischief is perfectly fine, if it's the kiddo type.Special plushies: The Little has their special favorite plushie? Is it maybe even alive in their fantasy? Does it have a name, clothes, is it maybe referred to as a "person" instead of "it"... I'm probably game. .^
Special items: It's bandanas for me, but there can be lots of other stuff. A cute collar (that has no secondary meaning), a bow, a wristband, their favorite paci oder sippy. Those things make it special
Clothings or items that a Kiddo would be considered "too old" in the human world? Like onesies, pacis, spippy or bottle.
(So that might be something for Littlefur or Middlefur or even the cute overgrown adult kiddo!)

Personally, I like when there are treated as kind of "normal".
Not the "HEY LOOKLOOK I'M WEARING A DIAPER!!!" (although that can be fun sometimes), but more like "The Kiddo is wearing a diaper and nobody is batting an eye". I think that's cute .^
Also while thick is nice and cute, I lean towards a more "realistic" type. Doesn't have to be that realistic, but not the "OMG I can't walk anymore type". Personal preference, that's all.Diaper peeks:

And yes, while I am still very guilty of having several pictures with the somewhat unrealistic "Shirt in diaper" kind of peek that were very common several years ago, I do love the approach of making the peeks more realistic.
Like the leg gathers peeking out of the onesie legs.
Or the shirt is riding up revealing the waist band.
Or climbing. Or bending down.
Moments were you really would see the waistband.Diaper outline beneath the clothing. Again, pretty self-explanatory. It's just cute when it's not IN YOUR FACE sometimes, but a bit toned down. Of course it's there, kiddo, everybody can see it! But it's more subtle

Hello and welcome to my side of the internet!
For newcomers to my chaotic world:
I'm an aspiring writer who likes to dabble in kpop (mostly girl groups, I'm a newbie when it comes to boy groups), many variations of rock and metal (preferably punk rock and heavy/symphonic/power metal) and video gaming with emulators and laptop.
I also tend to be very random and think of kpop in everything, and yes, it got me to the point when I call my favorite band members as "biases" because kpop is freakin everywhere yeaaa yeahhh
Aside from that, I am also stuck in my own little world, the #kookycore. That's where my headcanons, made-up info lies, alongside the voice-generated songs and edits with my biases put together. I'm even planning to make fanfics of them if ever I'll get out of the sana shy shy shy mindset.
But dont worry, I also make headcanons of cartoons too, and will share them on squidgeworld. I dont go on ao3 and fanfiction.net for sanity reasons 😂
(I also tend to be really talkative in chats and have a tendency to share lore; just tell me if you want to learn more about my works and stories! also moodiness galore, beware!)

Just replaced the thermal compound and hope the pc will run smoothly again. It did kind of shut down now and then and I guess because of the heat not distributing well. This could become a bigger issue in summer. Especially when it happens during stream, editing and work. :S
