I was asked by @saahbs , who developed the #CWMouse paddle to take his CW Mouse QRP Labs QCX / QMX Minis NEW COVER for a test drive. I've made it part of my minimal #QRP setup with my #QCX Mini. I like to call it THE COVER 2 for QCX Mini. It is rugged, made from quality 3D printed material with magnets that give a tight fit to the top of the QCX/QMX QRP Labs case that converts to a steady stand. While @DO3BN activated #GMA DA/HE-549 Hainig on #15m in #FT8 I made myself comfortable in #WWFF DLFF-1001 Chemnitzaue Draisdorf (for the second time this week) to work on #20m in #morsecode. Today there were enough chasers: 28 QSOs in 40 minutes. Strangely propagation to the West was not so strong today. #HamRadio #Amateurfunk #qrp #qcx #efhw #afterwork #Saxony #Chemnitz

If your #QCX mini (like mine) is suffering from #hf getting back into the rig via the headphone cable when in very close proximity to an unbalanced antenna I suggest you try to solder a 10 nF capacitor across the audio jack on the bottom side of the main board. Despite the ongoing #IARU HF World Championship #contest and the high level of QRM I activated #SOTA OK/US-003 Loučná (#WWFF OKFF-2889) today. The landscape around it and the view from near the summit are fantastic. No matter how small your station is - fun should be the driving force. Using a #QCX mini for #20m as SOP CW #QRP unassisted in the #IARU HF World Championship #contest is about as simple as it gets. You know this situation: you want a QRP kit, and you can't choose whether you should buy the #QCX mini from qrp-lab or the (tru)sdx from DL2MAN and PE1NZZ, because you are learning CW and so it would be nice to have SSB too, just in case?

I was in exactly this situation recently.

And I did exactly what a standard ham would do.
