Pretty quiet weekend for ham radio this time around. Aside from the bands not being all that great, I had to be an adult and do things around the house too. Boo! But at least I did get some parks in. =)

Made my first FT8 and JS8 QSOs today. Chatted with Billy in Florida a bit, and with an op in Spain on FT8. Can’t complain about that kind of range, considering I was keeping my power to < 25W on 20 metres. That’s also considering that my dipole is not nearly high enough for optimal transmission to Africa, Asia, or Oceania.

This weekend was a little slow on the radio, but I managed to get 18 parks in the logs still! Mostly 20 meters, but there's a couple 40 meter ones. Prince Edward there is usually not one I get tho, so that's kinda an awesome hit!

Well, last weekend was kinda slow for my radio adventures, so I waited until this weekend to make my post & map for it all. Didn't do too bad. Yesterday and today kind of made up for the poor conditions last weekend. The 3 over to the UK area were digital on 6m during a quick opening this afternoon.

Here's my POTA haul for the last 2 weekends! The sun ahs been kind of difficult recently, so I'm a little shorter than usual, but I'm still really happy with all I got! I did manage to get a few new parks tho! Mostly all is 20m, with a few 40m, 17m and 10m stuck in there for giggles.

The #POTA triple is done with today's activation. This time I worked #digimodes only on 5 bands, starting with #10m and ending on #20m.
Several stations from #Africa could be heard today and I managed to work a few.
48 QSO in the end.

Welp, here's the weekend's contacts. Really annoyed with myself that I ended up doing digital (the blue ones) but in my defense, those were all 6m and 10m. The bands were open, so I decided to have a little fun with it. Otherwise, just the red ones are SSB, and that's all I could actually manage in propagation the way it was this weekend.

99th #POTA activation of DE-0192 in the morning. This time doing digi modes on #20m. Plus #hamradio QSO for the trainee once more.
16 QSO in the end. We packed our stuff when we thought it's gonna be too hot.

This weekend's haul wasn't too bad for how terrible conditions were. Propagation was pretty horrible, but still managed about 50 contacts. Can the sun please chill out a bit?

This weekend the HF bands were horrid. I did manage to get about 30 or so contacts, but definitely had to work for them! Green is 40m, blue is 20m, and the one purple is 17m. At least it was a good test for my new microphone, a Yaesu M-90D that I picked up at Dayton Hamvention this weekend. Certain circumstances required me to leave early, so I missed the fedihams meetup. =(

Not too bad this weekend. I ended up with 39 POTA contacts on a mix of bands. It was rather fun, and got a few new ones that finally gave me 1000 parks hunted!

The last 2 weekends in one map. The bands have been horrible lately, and this is all I got. Mostly all on 20 meters, a few on 40 meters. It was tough but fun.

I put up my antenna wire today one more time for #POTA. My tuner has a power problem, so this time I had to work without it. Measuring my inverted vee with my analyzer I found out it was completely out of tune. Took some time to fix that but it was worth it. 29 QSO on #17m and #20m with Timor Leste as an #ATNO.

Today the #POTA activation was a hard piece of work. #17m was closed this morning, so I had to change the endfed antenna to #20m. It took an unusual long time to get the necessary QSO. In the end I was rewarded with Central African Republic, New Zealand, Panama and Brazil. 🇨🇫🇳🇿🇵🇦🇧🇷

Been really enjoying the EFHW antenna for sure! I'm coloring the markers by band now, 'cause that seems way more interesting. I'm especially happy to get Nova Scotia this weekend!

This weekend was an interesting one. Yesterday was amazing band conditions and got most of my contacts, but today was kinda meh. There was lots of QRN, and propagation wasn't all that great. But ya know, I'll take 52 POTA contacts for a weekend! And I snuck one LLOTA contact in there too!

Holy cow this weekend was insane on HF. I ended up with 142 SSB POTA contacts, on all bands from 40 meters to 10 meters. It was so much fun! The colors are listed in the image's ALT text. I think I need a vacation after all that!

Spending this weekend working the new EFHW antenna, I got 96 POTA contacts across 10, 12, 17, 20 and 40 meters! All SSB, no digital! I am beyond happy with how it performs, and it even managed to get my last 2 states needed for hunting all 50 states in POTA!
