Parallels 20 for Mac Released with Ubuntu 24.04 VM Support

Parallels Desktop 20 has been released for macOS. The virtualisation software introduces a number of buffs for Linux VMs running on macOS. The headline change in Parallels Desktop 20 is support for macOS Sequoia, both as host OS and as a guest — important given that Sequoia is due to be released in the next few weeks. But Parallels Desktop 20 has a lot of improvements for Linux guests too. First up, it now officially supports Ubuntu 24.04 LTS VMs, Fedora 39/40, and a handful of other recent Linux distributions releases. The icons for Ubuntu VMs now use the new :sys_more_orange:

Hey there #MacOS folks. Can you explain to me what’s the difference between opening a file with `CMD+Down Arrow` shortcut and doing so via Context menu > Open? Stupid thing regarding #ParallelsDesktop. I have moved my VM to an external storage and I wanted to open it as a package. When I did so via the hotkey, I got an error stating that the configuration is invalid. But when I did so via the “Open” menu item it worked. What’s the technical explanation?

A couple of things I want to mention:

- When starting #ParallelsDesktop , it automatically installed #Windows11, no need for me to get the #VirtualMachine from #Microsoft
- If you want to use CTRL + Arrow you'll have to hold the SHIFT key, otherwise it won't work

Is there a way to display a list of landmarks, links, form elements and so on like #VoiceOver rotor does?
