Where do you keep your oc lore besides Google Docs? I want to find an alternative to use as an archive for my setting so I can easily access and organize it (with pictures too!)

OC lore yap, might make some art about them later.
(The story of the 4 cookies who ran away to the gardens of delights aka 'Destiny's fate')
Once, there was 4 cookies who lived in an orphanage in the Faerie Kingdom, in beast yeast, the 4 cookies were curious, young and adventurous. All of their names were vanilla cream cookie, blueberry shortcake cookie, peach cream cookie and pure dough cookie. Vanilla cream cookie, who was the youngest was the shy one of the 4 cookies, Blueberry shortcake cookie, who wanted to explore the lands of beast yeast, Peach cream cookie and Pure dough, who were the oldest of the group of young cookies, they were wise but yet so unserious.
One fateful night, all of the four, young but naive cookies decided to pack their important belongings and leave the orphanage while everyone was asleep. As they quickly ran away from their orphanage, they began their journey. All of the young 4 cookies were in awe of how beautiful the Faerie kingdom was, they were not allowed outside without supervision but it was their very first time. they felt a sense of thrill doing so.
As they left the Faerie kingdom, Blueberry shortcake cookie had a map, to the Gardens of delights. They did not know the lurking dangers of such but despite the feeling, they decided to go to the garden.
Not knowing they will **never** return back, the **same anymore**
As they traveled thru the dangerous environment of beast-yeast, they have finally made it to the Gardens of Delight, the garden had a sense of welcome, comfort and happiness, the colorful atmosphere made the 4, young cookies in awe. They first met Pavlova cookie, a young but determined cupid, a helper for Eternal Sugar cookie.
However, the 4 cookie decided to follow him further in the garden. As they finally met Eternal sugar cookie, she lured them and pressured them to stay in the garden (1/2)

Soon, I will have to share the tale of #Skuggabaldur, the Blue Fox, child of an ancient ancestor of the miqo'te and a nine-tailed fox auspice named the Wintry Fox.

It is a long tale, and it begins in the First Astral Era, in his homeland of #Meracydia. It was during the Second Umbral Era that his pranks led to Father Wolf's death, and to make up for it, he pretended to be the Wolf Totem of the Seeker W-tribe for centuries.
He went into a long period of hibernation during the Fourth Umbral Era out of fear and shame. Fear of #Tiamat's wrath, and shame for showing her the magic that would loose the Elder Primal #Bahamut upon the star.

So was thinking back on last weekend's session and I think I've found one of Dusk's main hobbies: cooking!
You see, as a gnoll, it's true she can eat pretty much anything without issue, but she has a sensitive sniffer, and her shaman and naturalistic training has taught her which herbs and spices are useful for different to bring out different sorts of flavors in her hunts and catches.
This came out of our shopping trip in preparation for going to investigate why goblins took the founding documents of the town we are in. (Suffice it to say we know they were exiled at one point, but taking the founding documents doesn't do them any good in being able to rejoin the town.)
When we entered the provisions store, once the DM described the inside, Dusk basically went straight for the spice rack, with all its lovely smells. Sage, oregeno, thyme, baisley, even some curry! She even got a discount on it by accidentally intimidating the kobold shopkeep who had planned to try and overcharge her. Really, all she did was reiterate she liked her meals *fresh* and give him a big toothy smile! The little 3' kobold certainly had nothing to fear from this 7'3" big beefy gnoll lady with very sharp teeth....

CW: OC Lore: Rift Travel, long post
So rift travel, huh.
Must've been one hell of a rock you've been living under if you've really never heard of it.
I can't really give you all the details, on account of me being neither a witch nor a gate engineer myself, but you'll get the "pilot who's flirted with her fair share of witches"'s perspective.
The long and short of it is that witches can create portals, which they prefer to call rifts, to voidspace. Essentially a different dimension that, as far as we've been able to probe at least, contains not much of note. Add some training, or well, more like years full of training, and those rifts can be of a scale and distance that allows spaceships to travel through them. I've been told that most people can pick up the basics of void magic and make their first stable rift in a few months, but y'know, a spaceship needs a slightly bigger rift than the poor coffee mug you'll have sacrificed during training.
Which brings me to the next point: there are a ton of ships out there, but not nearly enough witches capable of interstellar travel for each one to have their own. Of course big corporations and the military and such can afford to employ witches for all their important ships, but the average person is rather out of luck there unless they happen to be good friends with a powerful witch. Unfortunately nobody has found a way so far to create rifts without a witch being involved, but there are ways to stabilize and maintain a rift once created, which is what those big gates are. It's interesting how different their designs can be though, some look very industrial, some are more sleek, and some look like they came right out of the laboratory that invented them with big crystals and magic gadgets on full display. I think that last category you see most often when it's constructed and operated directly by some arcane institute.

Just some #OC #lore thoughts this time around...
Rahna's original family and tribe are nomadic, but the desert they call home is the result of a massive battle of magics in the distant past. By the time the exchange had ended, it had left a sizeable crater filled with a strange blue crystal. Over the centuries this collection of crystals was worn away, its fragments spread out across the desert by the sands and the winds.
While not very valuable on their own, they are excellent conductors of magic, and one of the main things her tribe bartered with, apart from their expertise as local guides and their other natural crafts. Most are unaware of this property however, with the crystals' origins long forgotten, and simply regard them as cheap, readily available crystals for crafting jewelry.
The crystals on Rahna's outfit make use of this ability, carrying a protection spell to deflect blows, while appearing to be but shiny baubles to those without magesight.
