  2. The Moon Takes the Bow: The Longest Fight in the Sky, Scored on Love, Fear, Respect, and Attention

Two fighters have been circling each other since before anyone kept records, and the purse has never changed hands: the human gaze. In one corner burns a furnace so vast that something like a million Earths could rattle around inside it, the engine behind every green leaf and every heartbeat on this planet. In the other corner floats a charcoal-colored rock, airless and dead, throwing back about twelve percent of the light that hits it. On paper the match is a slaughter. In practice the rock has been taking rounds for ten thousand years, and the strangest fact on the whole card is a matter of scheduling, since only one of these two shows up for both shifts. […]

  7. Is cool: Attack of the Killer Queen × Moonlight Sonata. Probably the most sophisticated arrangement inspired by . 🤯❤️

  8. I’m trying to remember a young adult novel I read some time ago. The story is about a girl who suffers from migraines. One day, she sits at a piano, and it mysteriously starts playing Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata on its own. Each time she returns to the piano, she learns more of the piece, almost as if the piano is teaching her.

The book builds up to her final performance of the Moonlight Sonata, which she plays beautifully. However, after the performance, her migraines return. Does anyone recognise this book? I’d love some help finding the title or author!

  13. In case you want to actually hear one. This is one of the more famous examples. In the first movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata: The third time the lowest notes changes (Beat 3 in bar 3 if you're counting) that's a N6 Chord.

  14. It's been years since I've played this (maybe decades), amazing how muscle and tonal memories work (I didn't have sheet music). Definitely not presentation quality (I'm shameless), but really helped me relax after a stressful week. I should do this more often... #moonlightsonata

  19. It was nice to have an evening out with my wife and enjoy Beethoven’s 9th by the Hart House singers and orchestra. There as also a fantastic performance of Moonlight Sonata by Benjamin Smith. #Beethoven9th #HartHouseSingers #Orchestra #MoonlightSonata #DateNight

  21. Some nice sounds. I did once try and play this from the piano music. I see now why I failed. A beautiful rendition. His hand was almost down the soundhole looking for the top note. youtube.com/watch?v=WZh1Cp5kON #Beethoven #MoonlightSonata #EricHenderson #Guitar #Classical
