  1. "Whatcha making?"
    I'm #knitting a hat.
    "That's really pretty."
    Thanks.
"I bet you could make money selling that."
I bet you'd be wrong, but thanks.
"No really, people pay good money for--"
NO. I WON'T. YOU CAN'T MAKE ME. I WOULD RATHER GIVE THIS AWAY FOR FREE THAN EVER SELL IT. I WON'T DESTROY MY OWN JOY BY #MONETIZING A #HOBBY.
    "Sheeze, I was just saying..."
Look, I know you mean well, but most knitting takes considerable time and money. And most people think a knitted hat should cost $5-$10. So no.

  7. Once again I find myself posting for free on Twitter when I should be #monetizing, but here's my most comprehensive view on media bias, which I think provides a lot of subtlety. natesilver.net/p/twitter-elon…

  8. "“The closure of #Jezebel also underscores fundamental flaws in the #ad-supported #media model where concerns about ‘brand safety’ limit #monetizing content about the biggest, most important stories of the day—stories that create huge traffic because people read and share them,” "

#adtech is fundamentally broken, and it's "leaders" some of the most acrid wastes of organic carbon in the history of eternity.

  9. Your #Gmail and #Instagram are #training #AI. There’s little you can do about it. It’s your data. Do you know what #Big ech is doing with it? #Google, #Meta and #Microsoft are taking your #conversations, #photos or #documents to #teach their their #AI. No #Privacy folks. BigTech is stealing your #dataand #monetizing it as only they can do washingtonpost.com/technology/

  10. Had a say for the The Ken, courtesy Shivani Verma, on the trend of 'deinfluencing', the opposite of suggesting/pitching products for a fee from the sponsoring brand/industry. My perspective was about the monetizing aspect - if they are asking people actively to not do something (and recommending that people don't buy certain products or brands), how could they monetize such content? 🙂

  11. #FTC proposes barring #Meta from #monetizing #kids' data
FTC proposed to bar #Facebook parent company Meta from monetizing kids’ data after it says the company violated a 2020 #privacy order, the agency announced Wednesday.
According to the FTC, an independent assessor found “several gaps and weaknesses in Facebook’s privacy program” that posed “substantial risks to the public.”
Facebook spokesperson Andy Stone called the FTC's move a "political stunt.

  14. Hey Sapiens. I hit a personal goal in the last few days: 500 subscribers. To earn any money from my videos I need 1,000 subscribers, but I'm halfway to the subscribers I need. If each one of you shared a relevant video with one other person and they subscribe, I would finally be able to monetize. YouTube has enough money - please help get this revenue to me!
