- Pulls link to current item via #Hookmark
- Creates an #OmniFocus task with the title of the item and a link to the item in the notes.Feels super handy fo me. I feel like I should create a blog for all of these little sidequests.

I might have figured this out. I use the HELL out of #Hookmark .
HookMark has a "Hook to New" (cmd-N) function. This allows us to create a new note according to the application's configuration.
Mine is currently set up to create one in #Obsidian. I just need to figure out which Vault it sends it to. It sent to to the correct vault this time, but im not sure how it figures out which vault it should go to. Will follow up today.

Today, using Script Debugger and #ChatGPT, I wrote and debugged an #AppleScript for use as part of a #Hazel rule. I hooked the script to the AI chat for future reference. Another huge use case for #hookmark.
Unfortunately, Hazel is not [link-friendly](https://hookproductivity.com/help/integration/data-linkability-and-why-it-matters/) so I couldn't hook these two resources to the Hazel rule.

an example of using #AI with #Hookmark:
I encountered an issue with macOS Finder services related to what I thought was a bug in Hookmark, so I logged a bug in our Bugzilla database. I couldn't figure out the issue on my own. So I had a long conversation with ChatGPT which suggested many steps, none of which worked.
ChatGPT concluded it is not a bug in Hookmark but a bug in macOS.
I shared the ChatGPT link in the bug report, and I hooked the chat to the Bugzilla issue. And I will log an issue with Apple.

3/3: Das größte Manko ist, dass #Thunderbird das X-callback-URL-Schema nicht unterstütz und somit auch Apps wie #Hookmark oder #Kurzbefehle keine Links zu E-Mails erstellen können.

I have #macOS #Tahoe installed, and now, #hookmark is no longer working with links to #AppleNotes. Has anyone else seen this or solved it?

Our detailed functional specification (DFS) are in SVN. Instead of adding a long comment to the DFS on URL cruft removal, I added a hook://email markdown link to the email in which I made my comments on the SVN. I also added a Hookmark Files dir which contains a .hookmark file linking to my email response to my CTO on the DFS.
So many collaborative uses for #Hookmark https://hookproductivity.com it's unbelievable

oh DAM! it looks like #hookmark stopped working in #AppleNotes after the Tahoe upgrade.

#Hookmark Pal für iPhone und iPad ist erschienen. Damit können bidirektionale Hookmark-Links nun auch auf i(Pad)OS erzeugt und genutzt werden. Mit knapp 35 Euro pro Jahr ist die aber recht teuer.

@lwpembleton in this case where I wanted to preserve more of the original formatting I might stick it in my Zotero library as .docx or .xlsx , or as .html from #SingleFile , and then link from my OneNote page to the stored file with #Hookmark . There’s lots OneNote can’t do (.ipynb for example) and linking to these files to open in their respective full featured desktop apps is a great workaround!

I started messing the the #zenbrowser this week, but unfortunately, it doesn't work with #hookmark. dangit!
I really need to spend an hour and figure out how to set these integrations up for the community. I can't really live without hoookmark anymore, and I need it for #AnyType.

Maybe I should try Setapp. My Hookmark subscription is expiring soon, and it would be cheaper to use Setapp than just trying to subscribe to Hookmark directly.

I LOVE #OmniFocus , but it is super lacking in its ability to take notes on a tasks or project. It's a hard problem to solve, but i think it would be awesome if we could use #OmniOutliner in a more integrated fashion.
To rectify this, I use #hookmark to join a project and an #AppleNotes note. Hookmark allows bidrectional links, so it's super easy to go back and forth.
I then created two top level folders, Work, and Personal. these each have perspectives indicating ... 1/2.

I wish #AppleNotes had a back button. I make alot of link to other notes, and sometimes, I can't quickly get back to the origin note. Fortunately, @hookmark helps out, but a back button would be KILLER.

Sonar is a beatiful (and native) Mac app for managing Github and GitLab issues. I used the beta in the last couple of weeks for managing GitHub issues and it’s really good. The high-level outline view changes how you manage issues.
If you use Hookmark, I also made a integration scripts for it which is pretty useful for linking OmniFocus/Things projects to issues in Sonar.https://decoding.io/2024/02/sonar-mac-app-for-github-gitlab-issues/

A true cross-platform way to share files at the application level, would be a .URL Internet Shortcut file (http://www.lyberty.com/encyc/articles/tech/dot_url_format_-_an_unofficial_guide.html) , that are encoding Hookmark hook:// links. (That to my understanding, are more robust / akin to finder Aliases)

I just started using Sonar which is a new GitHub/GitLab issue tracker client available as a TestFlight beta.
I found that the app has a URL scheme, so asked developers if it was implemented, and they were kind enough to give me a brief documentation, just enough to create a starter script for myself.
