As for commercial software, I bought a licence for #OmniFocus, the #GTD app, after reading a thread here on mastodon, and regretted immediately. It's a crap app which costs a lot but offers very little, and then expects you to fork out even more for the extra bits that make it slightly less crap.
The app is so simple I didn't even need to jump on the #decompiling bandwagon, I could simply feed #claude transcripts from some training videos and some screenshots and over the course of a weekend I have a better version of the app ,without all the little quirks the original had.
Then of course I realised I don't actually like GTD, it's just that it's popular, and I could turn the app to whatever I wanted. So now I have an OmniFocus clone adapted to the #AlpenMethode, which I much prefer.
