I just put together a neat #keyboardmaestro shortcut that does the following:

- Hit keyboard shortcut
- Pulls link to current item via #Hookmark
- Creates an #OmniFocus task with the title of the item and a link to the item in the notes.

Feels super handy fo me. I feel like I should create a blog for all of these little sidequests.

Unfortunately @OmniFocus doesn't have a Linux App (and i don't want to use the webclient w/ a seperate subscription by the way...)

So i'm looking for a cross platform taskmanager, with end-to-end encrypted sync.
Anyone in the Fediverse found a good App?

I tried Superproductivity, but the sync was horrible, and the app is buggy ':(
Plus points for a non-US app... #eu #DigitalSovereignty

My Obsidian plugin “Tasks to OmniFocus” received some major features this weekend, namely support for OmniAutomation (OmniFocus Pro), a bundled OmniFocus plugin, and natural language date parsing.

If you're an Obsidian + OmniFocus nerd, this might be right up your alley.

If you side loaded the plugin as “Obsidian to OmniFocus" you’ll want to remove the old plugin and reinstall fresh.

Megkértem Claudeot hogy nézze át az inboxomat. Csak ennyit mondtam neki, de egy olyan GTD-s lebaszást kaptam tőle, hogy David Allen elismerően csettintett volna.
⁃ Sok mindent behánytam oda ami kb bookmark, nem action.
⁃ Ha gondolom, akkor csinál action-öket belőlük, és 2 item kivételével mindegyiket be tudja tenni a megfelelő projectbe, ha akarom

I used #Tasks for a bit. Treating it the same way i did #OrgMode .. but after awhile, i migrated back to #OmniFocus for tasks.

I think i just like to keep my whole life in OmniFocus, and my personal life was already there.

Totally no knock on the Tasks plugin, it's awesome.

I’ve fully switched to OmniFocus (The Omni Group) from Things (Cultured Code). The two driving factors were that OF can handle some more complex relationships than can Things; and better external access into OF’s data (in this case through an MCP).

Both are great. Things is perfect for most people. If not for my new needs, I would probably still be there.

I don't know that I have every used the Reminders app as anything other than a import spot for #OmniFocus .. But when I do look at it, it seems there are lots of new functions added, and it seems like a pretty feature complete system.

"Remind me to blah blah blah…"

I have my #Reminders set up to automatically dump to #OmniFocus #Inbox..

This will ensure that whatever I was thinking about will get processed into my thinking.

I trued to use the OmniFocus #Siri connection, but I can never remember how to phrase it all, and it takes a million tries for me to get it exactly right.

For capturing ideas, I generally use the reminder feature on my phone..

"Remind me to blah blah blah"

I have #Reminders synced to #Omnifocus.

But i do have a pen and paper next to me all day when i need to think something through before committing to it.

I find it hard to think on digital. I use digital more for documenting what i've already thought out.

@sergio_101 many people (and sometimes me) will split the reviews through a couple of days so it's not one big task. The nice thing with #OmniFocus is you can set the frequency so some project i don't review weekly and have them set to monthly or quarterly.

For me, it turned out to be the weekly review.

Not that it was complete nonsense, but it turned out to be stress-inducing.

I found that if I looked out the “Review" tab in Omnifocus whenever I had a few spare minutes, it worked out much better. Waiting to kill my Sunday evening of fun was not really a good answer.

i need to look into your info offerings.

I feel like every user for something like #DevonThink is so different and such different needs that they probably have brilliant ways in which they use your product.

I could never leave #macOS cuz i couldn't leave #OmniFocus or #DevonThink.

I have #DevonAgent pro, but i have a suspicion that i am WAY under using it.

Has anyone here good resources to dive deeper into #GettingThingsDone and #OmniFocus? I want to revamp my task management and feel like my current implementation can be improved A LOT...
