Broadband has been down for a few hours. My other half just pushed the dishwasher button which is supposed to delay start it at the cheapest possible time .... and it just worked
Button is still connected to the matter network

Hadn't seen it before over here on Mastodon, and it's a recent announcement (from the 24th), so I thought I should share.
Unsure what the future will hold for Shelly, but Schneider has a competing, closed-source (AFAIK), more expensive, automation software, so I can't see them allowing both to remain going on for much longer.
TL;DR: Shelly is being bought up by Schneider

For Tasmanian Home Assistant users, we've just released a new version of the AuroraPlusHA integration. It allows you to get metering data from the state energy provider.

It now provides a Time of Use sensor, as well as one tracking the Power Hour offers, so you don't miss one and can book your preferred slot ASAP.
The easiest way to install it is via HACS https://my.home-assistant.io/redirect/hacs_repository/?owner=LeighCurran&repository=AuroraPlusHA&category=integration (and we're in the process of getting it integrated as part of the default repos).

Mein alter #RPI3B scheint für mein Home Assistant Setup zu schwach zu sein. Werde mir daher morgen einen Home Assistant Green holen.
Damit mag ich dann meine PV Anlagen und Batteriesteuerung endlich angehen + Steuerung von Rolladen, falls ich die Motivation finde, endlich den elektrischen Rolladenmotor zu installieren.

@Andrea I just set something up for my elderly mother to be able to trigger an alert. She lives in an apartment, so has other people around, but nobody tasked to check on anyone.
I got a 433MHz radio receiver designed for gate/garage automation, and a compatible panic button on a neck chain. The receiver could be configured in a latching mode, which toggles when it receives a signal. That latch translates to a dry relay with normally closed and normally open terminals. I then wired a commercial flashing led beacon to the normally open terminal so it would alert neighbours when activated. You could also add a siren or beeper if desired.
To let it alert me remotely, I also added an esp32 running #ESPHome. I connected a gpio to the normally closed terminal, and configured it as a binary sensor with a pull-up resistor. When the receiver activates, the relay toggles, and the gpio changes state, allowing esphome to detect the activation.
The esp32 has WireGuard installed so it can connect back to my own #homeassistant instance, where I have an automation to alert if the sensor changes state.

Why isn't my #HomeAssistant automation doing anything?
Because I unplugged the Ethernet cable from the device and for some strange reason that stops it from being on the network.
