In fact, the whole YouTube channel slaps. So much of construction knowledge basically boils down to "I saw a guy do it this way once..." but this guy brings the receipts. There's also a *ton* of craftsmanship advice, from effective tips/tricks to the gotchas (e.g. how to combine squishy copper and torque wrenches).

We smashed our August solar record, beating our previous high by 58.4k kWh! ☀️ Even with the heat waves and AC running, production stayed strong (though it did mean less spare energy for export). 🌡️⚡

#FossilFuelFree ! Been using EV and electric barbeque for years, so we are there.

The best way to stop oil and gas is to electrify. It starts at home. Lifecycle costs favour it, by far.

(and do try an electric BBQ. Like EVs, you’ll never go back)

Boston plan for using heat in harbor water to heat (and cool) big buildings.

Like ground source/geothermal heat pumps, but using the harbor instead of the ground. Far easier to put a loop in the water there than in the ground - crowded densely built city, and mostly on landfill.

I was skeptical of this @TechConnectify video title and that Alec's water heater is cooler than mine, since I installed basically the same make and model of #HeatPump water heater in my house almost 5 years ago. However, his is just using a 120V circuit and isn't taking up two slots in his electrical panel, so I guess he is actually cooler.

Looking through the MCS-certified folks in #London to finally replace our combination boiler with a #HeatPump, and it feels like analysis paralysis with all of the options in the home counties.

How do I even narrow down the list?

The hallway started the day this meh grey-lilac colour, which had become very grubby and marked, and has ended it a nice invisible shade of mangolia. Next step is the stairwell and upstairs landing, maybe tomorrow otherwise next weekend. We'll be changing the pictures to show a few that have been in storage for years. All this because we needed to make good after having the new radiators fitted as part of the #HeatPump installation, but I'm really glad I've done it as it's a big improvement #DIY
