On my all #amd #linux systems I often switch the #cpu scaling governors from schedutil to performance (and back) via the command line. I remember that there once was a switch to do the same in the #gnome system menu (top right). I don't noticed when it vanished, but with #gnome44 on #manjaro using amd_pstate I don't see that option (anymore).
Does anyone know how this option might be re-enabled? 🤓️ -
Does anyone know if it is possible to define #shortcuts in the #gnome #gnomeshell so that one can directly control 10 #workspaces with Super+1, Super+2 all the way up to Super+9 and Super+0? On my #manjaro system the Settings app only offers to customize shortcuts for workspaces 1 to 4. #gnome44 #wayland #linux

Ich habe mir unter #Linux #GNOME44 als #Flatpak die App Threema installiert. Positiv: Nach dem Scannen der ID kann ich meine Chat und Kontakte sehen und bearbeiten.
Der Unterschied zu Threema/Web ist hier das es über eine App läuft und nicht im Browser.
ABER das ist doch nicht das Multi -Device in einer Vorabversion als Flatpak oder?

Kein Problem. Danke dass du auf meine Nachricht geantwortet hast. Das problem wurde von mir gelöst, wobei es kein Problem im eigentlichen Sinne war, sondern die schlecht gelöste GNOME Suchanzeige. Ich habe dich im passende Thread erwähnt und hier der SchreenShot zur Vollständigkeit beigefügt.

Mit den Suchergebnis unter GNOME44 bin ich nicht zufrieden.
Wenn ich nach "edit" suche, dann soll auch "gedit" angezeigt werden. 😑 -
I’m amazed how well my older computers function years after their release.
I have a #MSI GS43VR 6RE Phantom Pro from 2016 (7 years!) that’s STILL a powerhouse. I don’t know if this shows how poweful this machine was when it came out, how little progress has been made in machines since its release, or how software has improved over time. Maybe it’s a combination of the three.
I’ve installed #NixOS on it with #Gnome44 and it simply screams.

Sadly, #fedora38 doesn't play nicely on my #MacBookPro 2010. #Fedora36 worked out of the box (once RPMfusion was installed!) #Apple left my Mac behind years ago hence switching to #Linux but it seems it's goodbye to Fedora too! Fear not, #Linuxmint saves the day! It may be Windows-Like but I was going off #Gnome44 anyway. It's Rock-Solid, fast, built-in #Flatpak and has no problem powering a large external display! Good job @linuxmint

Upgraded to #ubuntu2304 with #gnome44 and it is lovely. The steps forward are small but it feels more and more like my windows 11 and macOS in terms of expected behaviour and intuitive GUI stuff. Super.

After using Fedora 38 as a beta in everyday life for the last few weeks, I have now decided to completely reinstall my systems with 38.
A clean install is in my opinion always better than an upgrade from the old version, especially after the official release. So today I'm completely busy. 😀

Cringe-worthily trivial basic improvements taking eons... sounds like we need to start paying to accelerate this. And still has #firefox as #snap - how awfully awful. #ubuntu2304

Expandable Folder View Returns to Nautilus in Ubuntu 23.04
A new version of the Nautilus file manager is available in the latest daily builds of Ubuntu 23.04 ‘Lunar Lobster’. If you read our sister site omg! linux you’ll already know of one particular change that makes Nautilus 44 an especially exciting update: the return of Expandable Folders in List View option. Accessible from the file manager’s Preferences panel, this opt-in behaviour makes it faster to flit through folders to find a specific file when using list view (this feature doesn’t work in icon view). When enabled you’re able to expand and collapse folders tree view style to maintain a :sys_more_orange:
