If you want to try Gnome 47.alpha on Arch, you could do so. Remember that this is alpha, bad quality, untested and nothing productive. I don't even know if it starts or what conflicts with other parts. But let me know :neocat_3c:

OK Peepz, #GNOME 45.0 is out on #ArchLinux :archlinux:. You can now disable #FCGU (and do a -Syuu, should only downgrade zenity).
This release will most likey mark the end of #FCGU as repo. It was a fun time and a lot of bugs were fixed because of the amazing help you provided early on. Thank you so much! :blobfoxsignbigfan:

It's that time of the year again, to replace .rc with .0 for #gnome45 things. :) Probably the last time under #fcgu umbrella. 🎈️

Current status of the #fcgu repo for #ArchLinux with #GNOME 45 packaging :ameowsipzoom:

@9to5linux
👋 Thanks for this.
To the users: please be aware that the pkgbuild hosting/git repo of #FCGU is currently in a restructuring workload, because of #ArchLinux gitlab migration and me adopting this.
It's far from good at this point and will still take a lot of time until I feel comfortable with it.
As always, expect things to kill your system and eat your babies. :blobcatmorningcofe: -
I just hit the limit of git repos in #ArchLinux gitlab with #FCGU.
It's 50 repos for normal users 🙃️
-
Currently at work to remove lots of packages in #FCGU because #GNOME44 now is in #ArchLinux 🎉️
-
@levi The #python 3.11 rebuild will come first. (https://archlinux.org/todo/python-311-rebuild/) only after that the new #GNOME will arrive.
If you really need it for some reason, #fcgu is still available to fill missing gaps https://codeberg.org/fabiscafe/fcgu -
Mutter and Gnome-Shell of #GNOME44 .rc are also in #fcgu. Thats it for today :pusheentired: #ArchLinux :archlinux: :HappyTurtle:

++ doing some more packaging work today for #fcgu and bring #GNOME44 (.rc) to #ArchLinux :archlinux: ☕
-
Aww I have to thank you, stranger!
Probably someone using #FCGU to get the #GNOME44 beta on #ArchLinux :archlinux:. :blobcatlaugh: It's that time of the (half) year again.

I wonder if I should start to upgrade GTK to 4.9 in #FCGU :blobcatlul:
-
BTW, I pushed #GNOME #loupe ¹ to the #FCGU repo ² for some testing. Keep in mind that this is an early development snapshot and it wont be rock solid.

Almost done with the removal of packages in #FCGU. #GNOME43 is now available in #ArchLinux directly :blobcatfingerguns:
Nice work Arch Team :blobcatlove:

On my way building the stable release of #GNOME43 for [fcgu]. So much work :ablobcatangel:
-
Doing some little tease here on my messy desktop to proof that the project is still alive (:

BTW I already have some gnome alphas on #fcgu :blobcatamongus:
However there is some chance that I'll wait for the beta until "real" packaging starts. Alpha always is hit-or-miss and I dont want to package up prereleases of dependencies. :blobcatcoffee: -
I don't have a youtube account, so I can't tell this person that I'm happy to see a video about our work 😺 (And that the Manjaro hashtag is misleading, as it won't work on Manjaro)

Up-2-date with GNOME 42.0 again, in #fcgu repo for #ArchLinux :blobcatfingerguns:
There isn't much left :blobcathappypaws:
