Luego de haber pasado por varias distribuciones que tienen como común denominador un lentitud en el WiFi, probablemente por alguna incompatibilidad en las distribuciones o en mi Asus Vivobook pues me decidí probar #Debian #GNULinux en su versión stable dándome la sorpresa que el desempeño del WiFi se va dando sin problemas.
Esto puede ser por un problema de drivers con otras versiones que en Debian no me está dando...pues, aquí tengo cosas que me tienen en duda porque la versión 3.38 de gnome no me gusta mucho visualmente (algo no tan importante), pues me está dando resultados. Espero no tener que cambiar a otra distribución y bueno si es que empieza a surgir nuevamente problemas, apelar a las wikis, tutoriales, grupos y demás amistades de esta hermosa comunidad linuxera.
Para mediados de junio supuestamente debe estar saliendo #Debian12 de manera oficial con lo cual debería subir cuanto menos a #Gnome42 así que sera un salto cuantitativo el cual dejara muy felices a la gran comunidad debianita, en cuanto a mi, en vista que voy a tener menos tiempo por un tema de estudios, me quedaré en este lado de Linux.
Finalmente, faltando 1 hora....comparto con Ustedes mi #EscritorioGNULinux con todos ustedes.

Using a Tablet as a Second Monitor in Ubuntu is Actually Pretty Easy
Today I learn that it’s pretty easy to use an iPad or an Android tablet as a second monitor with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Not just “access your desktop” but “use it to extend your desktop” as though it were a regular, physically connected external monitor. I know: I’m supposed to be on the pulse of stuff like this and yet, here I am, monsieur slow-train, only learning about this capability cos it got mentioned it in a Reddit thread that, mercifully, passed before my eyes. So geil, wie manche sagen, ist #Gnome42 nun auch wieder nicht. Ausser dem eingebauten Dark Theme seh ich jetzt keine grossartigen Verbesserungen. Es ist immer noch ein Desktop mit zu vielen abgespeckten Apps. Wie war Version 2 doch so schön.

A Nifty Dynamic Wallpaper Maker for GNOME 42
Ditch the scripts and erase the elaborate terminal commands ‘cos the following GTK4 app makes it super easy to create your own dynamic wallpapers to use in GNOME 42 (and above). Woah, woah: not the old kind of dynamic wallpapers. Awesome though those timed slideshows were/are I’m fully aware apps to create them aren’t new (though weirdly I’ve never written about any 💁🏻♂️). By default the scaling factor of the login screen does not match the system scaling factor on Fedora Silverblue 36 with GNOME 42.
To make it match:
sudo cp ~/.config/monitors.xml /var/lib/gdm/.config/
Although you will have to do this manually every time you change the system scaling factor.
Not sure why this is not done for you automatically.

Damn, just playing around with the latest #Fedora36 beta and #Gnome42
This is fast, like "the interface of my vm runs smoother and apps launch quicker than on my main pc, that vm is running on" - fast.
Next up I will test out the new rdp based remote access. If the only performs half as well as what I have seen so far, it is byebye #Ubuntu and hello #fedora

Ubuntu 22.04 Just Got a BIG Design Update (Spoiler: Looks Awesome)
Ubuntu 22.04 is looking on fire, my friends. With feature freeze now in effect (and UI freeze creeping up) a huge drop of changes just hit the daily builds, including GNOME Shell 42 and new versions of the default Yaru GTK, Shell and icon themes. The newest version of the Yaru GTK theme doesn’t deviate too far from what we’re used to but it does clearly echo the look of libadwaita with its circular window controls, increased border radius, and soft grey header bars. The slew of orange accents we previously reported on are present but, I have to say: :sys_more_orange:
