This is a short video about a Geonode based PCB generator I read about on Blendernation. You can download the setup as a .blend file for free on Gumroad.

With it you are able to quickly create very nice looking PCBs with chips and other electronic components. This is just a quick introduction to show you what you can do with it.

GeoBolivia has switched from #geOrchestra to #GeoNode. A bit sad on a personal level. We implemented it in 2011 and it worked with different teams and maintainers for 12 years.

I guess the current team found it easier to maintain or got help from the World Bank to do the switch. Anyway, all the data and metadata seem to have been migrated without an issue, which is the most important.

Software is temporary, data is forever.

Finally I got the right scale and UV mapping done with #glTF export, was a bit complex for a newbie with #geonode like me, but very happy for that, and great thanks for the support by @orsvarn #b3d #Blender3D #Blender

Blarg. Was initially excited about setting up for the #FOSS4GNA #GeoNode workshop, but am consistently running into issues with Docker. I mean, at least the problems are consistent, I guess? Just can't seem to figure out the root cause.

Managed to communicate enough with both @camptocamp and @geosolutions_it folks to make it happen. And they were both receptive, but cautious that their bosses could not approve time unless funded.

Fork is merged. No more manual install hell for #geonode - an amazing result for this community.

It would be wise for GeoNode folks to fund collaboration that benefits their install base in the future.

Server-Umzug abgeschlossen. Die Geodatendienste sind endlich auf einem neuen, leistungsfähigeren Server. Die Dienste, die derzeit im Einsatz sind:
#QGIS Server für WMS/WFS etc.
#Mapbender für die Kartendarstellung
Vielleicht kommen bald auch noch mehr dazu. Interessant zum Testen könnten #Geonode, #Mapproxy und #OpenLayers sein.

The response from #Esri support contained 5 "workarounds" for their web adaptor not doing the only job it exists to do.

None have worked.

The web adaptor has gone down 32 times in 24 hours under modest loads.

Still using #ArcGIS Enterprise as best we can in spite of sporadic blips in connectivity, but alternatives are actively being investigated.

Can't wait for #FOSS4GNA to attend the #GeoNode / #GeoServer sessions!

Got my hopes up too soon. My #ArcGIS web adaptor continued to freeze up. But they released another web adaptor patch *today*, so let's see if it helps tomorrow when the traffic picks up.

11.0 was able to handle our server traffic without breaking a sweat, so I'm struggling to understand what changed at 11.1 to make it freeze up and quit so much.

#GeoNode, you're looking mighty attractive right now. Contemplating a "both / and" setup, maybe.
