  1. I can't explain it, but after being stuck on Baba is You for, what, at least a year, this weekend, on the flight back from our vacation, I suddenly had a breakthrough in the level I was stuck on, and I've been churning through them since. Last night I spent about 4 hours solving "just one more"...

Looking at my Steam Replay, it seems like every year I pick it up again in December... By 2030 I should finish it. :)

  2. I finished #BabySteps! Where's my fucking medal?! #gamestodon

God, that map view at the end was so embarrassing...

  3. If you thought the walking mechanic for #DeathStranding wasn't challenging enough, maybe you'll enjoy #BabySteps, a new game (coming out soon, demo currently available) all about putting one foot in front of the other as you take on the character of Nate, who appears to be a fully grown adult in a onesie, but maybe not?..
The demo was very fun, though the game clearly delights in being deliberately hard. Not "Getting Over It" hard, but close.

  4. My final/endgame #LiesOfP build. I loved this game waaaaaay more than I thought I would. Definitely wanna play the DLC now.

The "swap blades and handles" mechanic is soooo much fun. Paired the Curved Greatsword "Dancer's Curved Sword" handle with the "Bone-Cutting Sawblade" and then cranking that thing to max Str and max damage is just fun. Satisfying. Getting to twirl and sweep with this big ass rusty blade?

    Hellllll yeah.

  5. Finished #LiesOfP but red coat, white hair, big sword....

Are you SURE I'm Pinnochio, not Dante?

Seriously tho. It's one of my favorite #soulslikes. It's ther Bloodborne I actually enjoyed playing.

  6. Is there a #gamestodon? I somehow missed Arkham Knight when it came out, despite really loving the first two games (maybe origins chilled my excitement?).
Anyway, finally played it now and it was SO good.

Still a bit annoyed I'll never see the "proper" ending because there's no way I'm 100%ing the riddle trophies.

  7. There's less than a day left to get in on this bit of #TTRPG hotness written by my friend Benjamin Gray and playtested, in part, by me!

You and your friends can remake the films that disappointed you, just like the pros do on popular #ActualPlay podcast "Roleplay Retcon." The only additional gaming equipment you need is a standard deck of playing cards!

  8. Plugging a friend's cool project:

Ever see a disappointing movie and think you could have done it better? FLOPS is a new #TTRPG gaming system all about remaking an existing film/show/whatever just the way you and your friends want. No dice needed, just a standard deck of playing cards.

FLOPS is written by Benjamin Gray, one of my good pals from the #ActualPlay podcast Roleplay Retcon which has been rescuing films via tabletop for many years. I had a great deal of fun helping to playtest this game, and I'm really looking forward to playing with the final version.

  9. Just finished: The Vanishing of Ethan Carter - a beautiful mystery game. #gamestodon

  10. After a long hiatus, finally finished #patricksParabox. Turns out I gave up on the last set of challenges!

  11. 2. Lego Hobbit. Funnish game as most Lego games, but the grind for loot to unlock things was a bit annoying at the end. Finished at 99% completion as the remaining few mithril bricks were substantially annoying enough to not do. Also , I'm pretty sure this was made when QTE games were popular. All I can say is ick.

Still it's fun enough to play if you like Lego collectathons. store.steampowered.com/app/285

  12. 1. Chicory. I don't really know how to describe this as it's a unique formula, but it's a fun RPGish game where your only weapon is a paintbrush. Finished it at 91 percent completion as I didn't feel like searching for the remaining collectibles. Recommended! store.steampowered.com/app/112

  13. 16. Lego Movie 2. Much different than the rest of the Lego games, but also seemingly much less annoying to 100%. I'm not sure I would like all of them to be this way, but it was a good way to decompress over some crazy recent times at work. store.steampowered.com/app/881

  14. 15. Wuppo. Fun and charming platformer story about a little being (called a Wum) who goes from being kicked out of his house to saving the world. I admittedly ended up stopping at what is the final boss because the platformer difficulty got to me (for some reason)... but it' was a fun ride to get there. Recommended if you like platformers with a plot. store.steampowered.com/app/400

  15. 14. Haven Park. Short cozy game about fixing up a campground island and doing random side quests. There's not a ton here, but I don't think that hurts anything (especially given the price point). Worth playing if you want a relaxing game . store.steampowered.com/app/154

  16. 13. Frog Detective 2 - it was ok, but not as interesting for some reason as the first one. (It also failed to hold my daughter's attention.) Still, Frog Detective is one cool cat. store.steampowered.com/app/104

  17. 12. The Last Campfire. Fun puzzle adventure game with some awesome music. The story was good, though maybe it didn't have as much of an impact given that I played it over a few weeks. store.steampowered.com/app/990

  18. Been on a mission to log every game I’ve ever owned. Total count right now is 679 games. Still have to get through my Wii U & Switch games.

  19. Anyone have any good recs for #MobileGames for #Android? Looking for something I can play casually/sporadically that's not a match-three. Big fan of #HiddenObject, logic, and word games, but open to anything interesting!

So, #Gamestodon, what are you playing?
