hey kid do you like
video games
recently i played little witch in the woods start to finish after it went on sale and i’m still feeling really happy about it
the art style just feels really good and cute and you can tell a lot of thought went into it
you’re a troublemaking apprentice witch who ends up skipping out on her assigned apprenticeship to help a little old lady (who is also an anthro sheep) and her grandson (who is also an anthro fox) bring their little village back to life. you make potions, explore, and bring more and more villagers back to the village. also you can befriend a large number of cats

Well, I've been in pain most of the day because I twisted not one, but two knees. So the Owlbear is feeling less than stellar and is more than ready for bed.
So tonight's recommendation is… Queer Space Gods. It's about… well, it's right there in the title, isn't it. Think of this as being Thirsty Sword Lesbians cranked up to a cosmic scale. You'll be creating galaxies, taking whole civilizations into your heart, and working across billions of years. Will it be epic? Heart breaking? Both? Play to find out.
It's just a fantastic concept, with a beautiful book and clever writing.
This Owlbear Space God is going to sleep. Take care of each other, be kind, and play games.

hmmmm
are there any racing games on the PC that are similar to Forza Horizon (in terms of a good engine feel, customization, open world) that are not Forza Horizon?

I whole heartedly recommend The Garden Simulator Cozy game for anyone who likes 1. Gardening 2. Simulator games 3. And mild memory games.
For me the game is bit hard since I need to write things down to remember them (no tagging ingredients system), but otherwise it is wonderful hyperfocus game. (:
I borrowed the game from library and can still see myself sinking a lot (more) time into it.

Still resisting the siren's song of Uma Musume, but it has put me in the mood to pick up Pocket Card Jockey again. A wacky hidden gem of the 3DS eShop but now available in app stores as well

There are plenty of coding and logic games out there for people looking to learn to code - but all multiplayer coding games seem to be PvP.
Anyone know of some cooperative coding games where people have to work together as a team?

I'm traveling a lot by train lately to visit events or other dev-meetings, but also to visit places for entertainment. People who know me are aware that I hate traveling itself while I like visiting new places. I'm currently playing Stardew Valley on my smartphone again to make travelling time fly by faster. #game #GameRecommendation

Are there any #indiegame Luigi's Mansion-likes out there? I'm replaying Luigi's Mansion 3 and loving it all over again. The puzzle-box levels combined with light action is such a winning combo. I really suck at #platforming so I could do with a few more games like this and fewer metroidvanias in my backlog.

If you haven’t seen UFO 50 yet and you have any nostalgia for NES/SNES, I recommend snagging it.
The conceit is that it’s a collection of 50 games from a fictional/alternate-reality game system, including little backstories for the games and sequels and the like.

I am looking for a game that would satisfy my desire to dabble in interior/exterior design, architecture, and designing places in general. A game that takes itself seriously and gives the player realistic, appealing options to design spaces large and small.
Does such a game exist?

#NintendoSwitch: Started playing Mr. Run and Jump and I like it quite the bit. The visuals are excellent and the difficulty seems to be about right for my patience 😅
So far I finished the first world and looking forward to the next ones.
The game asi also currently discounted by 45%.

GAME SUGGESTION
IF YOU LIKE:
metroidvanias
immersive combat system
engaging bosses
cool story
beautiful artwork and music
charming characters
dark shit
Play nine sols. i beg of you to play nine sols.

I need suggestions. I used to really enjoy singing/playing Lips on xbox, and I made it to the top 300 on rockband 2 and 3 for vocals. I'm wanting a similar type of singing game with scoring and the guide for singing in tune but for PC as I got a good mic for Christmas (and because I don't think there's any on xbox any more). Does anyone know of any good ones?

I finished playing Sephonie yesterday and it's absolutely up there among my favourite 3D platformers & among my favourite vibes in games.
I feel like i've only heard a few people talking about it and in pretty niche, "obscure games lovers" places, but it just deserves love from everyone who enjoys platforming! Its movement, its music, its story and the incredible care & love with which its characters are written will stay with me for a long time ❤️ -
I don't see people mentioning this wholesome #spooky #game that is basically the #Halloween version of #UntitledGooseGame. #SpookyGames don't have to be all horror and scary!

Exanima just got a huge update and I recommend it very much.
It's also appropriate for this spooky season!
Honestly, the game is so innovative in so many ways, difficult to list them all.
But its unique (physics based) combat system is well worth learning, because it's a one of a kind dungeon crawler. Very atmospheric, almost survival horror-y.

Today's #gamerecommendation is SCAPPA VIA CON ME, IMPERATRICE, the dating simulator set in fascist Italy!
Margherita has just been admitted to the most prestigious all-girls school in the nation. As she gets to know (and fall for) her classmates, you'll discover more about the current state of the country, and how it gets in the way of her wishes. Can love triumph even over fascism?
(SVCMI was partially developed by our dear @crescendo, but we're not involved in it)

It is always a wonderful day when a new game by @abundance comes out.
Drift Mine Satellite isn’t exactly brand-new but it’s playable now on itch.io and it’s a lovely time! Its evocative text-based landscapes and its themes & storytelling really captured my mind when i played it a few weeks ago. So yes, it is a wonderful day to watch unicode stellar objects through the telescope ✨https://everestpipkin.itch.io/drift-mine-satellite

Originally I wanted to go to bed early yesterday, but then I started streaming #TwelveMinutes and couldn't stop before it was finished. 🥴
Absolutely recommding this game! Chat and I were highly invested. 🥰
It takes about 4-5 hours, depending on your amount of braincells. 🤪Don't spoiler yourself apart from watching this trailer:
https://youtu.be/sNzr8lbO_Kg⚠️CW: Design is not realistic, but suicide and murder of close people might happen.

Random #GameRecommendation for the #NintendoSwitch: Dicey Dungeons is a great little puzzle/strategy game that's perfect if you're going on a trip or something and need a good distraction for the plane/drive/whatever. It starts with a simple die-roller mechanic, and gives you a variety of ways to stack the odds in your favor. Then, each of the 6 characters gives the mechanic a new twist that makes you think all over again. It's an excellent handheld experience in bitesize chunks. Nice for $15

Two weeks ago at Now Play This in London, i was able to watch The Grannies, the documentary about a small group exploring outside of the Red Dead Online world’s boundaries. Since then i’ve grabbed a second-hand copy of Red Dead Redemption 2, and it’s fascinating to see how this is a game that is really mechanically clunky and doesn’t "work" on so many levels, but as a purely atmospheric piece it’s just superb ♥️

#GameRecommendation If you haven't played it yet and enjoy either Metroidvanias, flippers or just always wanted to play a dung beetle delivering mail on an island, you should give Yoku's Island Express a look!
Currently on sale on #Steam for 4€ and runs flawlessly on the #Steamdeck, also available on other platforms though!
Played through it a while ago and it just put a constant smile on my face ("🥳")

Anyone have any good recs for #MobileGames for #Android? Looking for something I can play casually/sporadically that's not a match-three. Big fan of #HiddenObject, logic, and word games, but open to anything interesting!
So, #Gamestodon, what are you playing?
