This little thing in #DeathStranding 2 is so cool. :-)
I won't put a spoiler tag on this because you gain access to this very early in the game, but it is a very mild spoiler for something optional you can find.

Was farming BTs in #DeathStranding 2 and things almost went really badly. Most of my weapons were out of ammo from a previous fight.

#HideoKojima always makes his games do something cool with the hardware they're running on, and it all started in 1998 with Psycho Mantis reading your memory card.
In #DeathStranding 2 there's this little moment where you take a photo of the girls. After the scene was over I heard the Steam screenshot sound effect and the game somehow registers the developed version of the photo as a screenshot, despite the image never appearing on screen.

#DeathStranding is a game with a very complex backstory. There's a lot going on that has be explained throughout the games, usually thru feature length cutscenes (Hideo Kojima). One of the best ones is the prologue to the first game where Sam joins corpse disposal and they get overrun by BTs. In just a few minutes you get to witness how timefall works and how big of a deal it is that a living person not get taken by a BT, and what happens if they do.

CW: Death Stranding 2 spoiler
So I've put 36 hours into #DeathStranding 2 so far and while I'm not done, I have some thoughts.
The game is absolutely gorgeous, and the story beats are good. But in many ways it feels a "lot" like the first game. Even the animations of Sam sliding packages into the shelves at shelters is the same. I've caught myself not even reading shipping manifests and just paying enough attention to figure out whether it's time, quantity or condition that matters.

#DeathStranding2 looks REALLY good, and if you use a DualSense to play on PC it supports haptic trigger feedback, controller audio output, etc. just like if you were on a PlayStation console. It's weird and awesome at the same time to feel one trigger get stiifer than the other because of how Sam is leaning with the weight of his cargo.

Just finished Death Stranding. Recommended!
Messy and strange, but possesses an utterly unique, genre-defying vision which it is beyond successful in executing. Fascinating to see so much effort and funding behind such an incomparable conceit.
