    }

    .bar {
    color: RoyalBlue; /* This wins */

  7. What is the difference between extending a subclass of an object and `Object.create`-ing based on a prototype for the purposes of JS private fields? I'm surprised to get different behavior between:

    ```javascript
    class Foo {
    #foo = 'foo';
    doSomething(): void {
    console.log(this.#foo);
    }
    }
    class Bar extends Foo {}
    new Foo().doSomething(); // Works
    new Bar().doSomething(); // Works
    Object.create(new Foo()).doSomething(); // ERROR: Cannot read private member.
    ```

    In my mind, they should create basically the same prototype inheritance. Why does `Object.create` fail?

  13. *key (+ firefish) hashtags are odd, they can have delimiters in them, but only if the delimiters are closed, and specifically forbids certain delimiters??

    allowed:
    -
    #(foo)
    -
    #[foo]
    -
    #「foo」bar
    -
    #(foo)bar

    specifically forbidden:
    - #【foo】bar
    - #<foo>bar

    I'm really confused as to why that first forbidden one is there, tbh

    Partages appréciés !

  22. Since I'm on a roll, how come infosec.exchange allows posts of up to 10k characters but #rubysocial only gives me 500? Not all things programming can be expressed in a ½ kilo of chars.

    And OMG do I wish this instance supported #CommonMark and an easier way to escape octothorpes when discussing #RubyLang methods! Writing methods as :foo instead of \#foo or `#foo` just seems cumbersome, and the latter two show up as hash tags anyway!
