I had a chat with the #Fold3 gentleman (they were wearing fantastic shirts!). American Rev War is their first to use AI. They are happy with the results and will be moving on to other wars.

I find Fold3 incredibly useful but extremely "Clunky" to use. This should be a great improvement to be able to read some records better.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 gets the One UI 7 update!

We are excited to announce that starting from today, users can now download the One UI 7 update to their Galaxy Z Fold3 foldables as Samsung has finally released this exciting version of One UI. Your Galaxy has now become more powerful, amazing, and gorgeous as One UI 7 brings more powerful features and a redesigned appearance consisting of a simple, impactful, and emotive design.

Please note that this is the last time that we’re going to cover the rollout news for One UI 7 for new devices, except for the Galaxy A55 series because it was eligible for the beta program. After that, expect such news for three select devices only. Please refer to news sources, such as SamMobile and Sammy Fans, for more rollout news.

To obtain the update, perform the following steps:

1. Open the Settings app
2. Navigate to Software Updates
3. Tap on Download and Install
4. Wait until you see One UI 7 at the top of the page, then tap on Download
5. Wait for the download to complete, then tap on Install

After you perform the above steps, your foldable will be running One UI 7 based on Android 15, and you can enjoy its new features and with many improvements on place. This makes sure that your experience gets improved.

If you still didn’t get the update for your device, wait for a few days or a few weeks, then check for updates again. If you still see “Your software is up to date,” this means that the update didn’t reach your region yet.

Note that the update process may take 15 to 20 minutes, and this can vary from device to device. The download process may incur extra charges if you’re using the cellular network as the update size is around 5 GB, depending on the device, so we recommend downloading it through Wi-Fi. Never interrupt the update process in any way, or problems may occur. Make sure that your foldable gets charged before you initiate the installation process.

We’ve added over a thousand new pension files to Fold3 in the past three months. Most of these are for surnames beginning with the letter ‘S’ or ‘T.’ Pension files contain clues about your ancestors, their family, and their military service.”

Sad about my Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G that has developed a cracked screen today. The Samsung Fold is the best phone I've ever had (and yes, I've used iPhones). It still functions properly when closed, but the best feature is no longer working. I've had it since about September 2021, so it is about 18 months old. #samsung #zfold #fold3 #foldable #smartphone #samsungdisplay

On the off chance there are new tooters like myself who are also #GalaxyFold users, I've found the web app is actually the optimal way to use Mastodon on Fold.

Use Chrome to add it to Home with its own shortcut, & the great payoff is that when opening into full screen mode it'll switch seamlessly into multi-column mode (if enabled).

I like Tusky too, but the web app is the best option for an open Fold right now I think.
