Third ride today on #SoarinAcrossAmerica at #DisneyCaliforniaAdventure . In the middle section like the 2 rides last week, so I still don't know if there's a leaning Tower of Eiffel with this version. I was in the bottom row this time, whereas I was in the 1st row on my first two rides. The impressiveness factor really makes a difference when you can see the entire first image from the start instead of having to wait through clearing the rows in front of you. But it's impressive nonetheless. 1/2

The caramelized onions and candied walnuts were also sweet, and using the dressing would have made it moreso. I definitely would have liked more of the feta cheese (I think I got one piece and some tiny crumbs) to offset the sweet. Dinner tonight was at #SmokejumpersGrill and included the Strawberry Summer Salad (grilled chicken, baby arugula, baby spinach, strawberry-tahini vinaigrette, caramelized onions, feta cheese and candied walnuts). I wasn't fond of the dressing because I'm not a fan of sweet dressings so I didn't use any. I often don't use dressing if the salad ingredients are interesting enough. I was in #SanFranSokyoSquare at a time where there was no meet and greet happening, so I could have a look over in that area, which isn't often accessible. It had a level of spiciness that restaurants really need to indicate on the menu. I enjoyed it but someone who doesn't want spicy wouldn't be able to eat this dish. Dinner last night was at #LamplightLounge at #DisneyCaliforniaAdventure , which I haven't been to in quite some time. The menu selections definitely looked better than on my last visit. I had the Thai seafood pasta - Thai curry cioppino, with coconut-steamed clams and mussels, shrimp, pan-seared fish, spaghetti, sourdough bread crumbles, crispy shallots, Thai basil, cilantro and a lime wedge. I'd seen a post on social media about #PaderiaBakehouse being at #DisneyCaliforniaAdventureFoodAndWineFestival this year, so I wanted to stop in and try some of their items. The social media post said they had Portuguese egg tarts but none of the signage in person said Portuguese. For the #DisneyCaliforniaAdventureFoodAndWineFestival today, we had also ordered the new-this-year Chicharrón Nachos: Chicharrón, chorizo, cheese sauce, tomatoes, and salsa verde. Again, the taste & flavor were great. The plating & presentation were baffling and just plain bad. This is not the kind of dish you put in a shaker. The choice of using what is effectively a bowl is completely wrong. It's messy to try to pick it up from the top and even messier with the sauce just on the bottom. It would have worked fine to use the plate like for the Asa'DOS, with the torta on one side, and the sauce in a separate little container or even just on the side, like the salsa verde on the other dish.

returning dish of Asa’DOS: Grilled skirt steak, chipotle chicken, Spanish rice, and salsa verde. The salsa verde was terrific. There were two tortillas underneath the steak, so I ended up using mine to make a taco with some rice and a bit of steak.

The pho broth was spot on, so flavorful and delicious. The beef had nice flavor, and the sandwich is a little hard to handle, but when you dip everything in the broth, it makes a really tasty bite. The noodles get a little lost, but I don't think there's a way to avoid that with having the bread. Still, one of my favorites of the day.
