Sandwiched between Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, and Sandia Pueblo, Corrales is a historic community with roots dating to Tiguex Pueblo inhabitants (c. 500 AD). Known for its agricultural heritage, adobe architecture, and the historic Old San Ysidro Church (1868), the village officially incorporated in 1971 to preserve its rural character.
