Logging onto a meeting with no agenda, whose title is just a couple unfamiliar acronyms. Probably would have marked it spam if my boss hadn't given me a heads up. 🙄

Something I’ve learned in the corporate world is biz bros HAAATE when their industry is subject to “commoditization.” That’s their buzz for ‘waahhhh, our competitors are competing / any differentiation or advantage we had is gone, so we can’t overcharge anymore’
ANYWAY. All of this #AIshit? It’s already mostly commoditized. Some outliers, sure. But that’s got to mean we’re in a bubble, right?

Totally bizarre how "I used AI" in every context except at work results in [deserved] scorn.
But talk about outsourcing your expertise to a stupid machine to the bosses at work and it's met with applause... From the leaders. Peers know better and are deeply skeptic.

Is it really too much to ask that our company intranet homepage maintain links to our most commonly used internal apps?

I wish I was joking. I am not.
One of our test systems has been down all day. Folks are losing their minds. So I'm on the call where they are trying to figure it out and it seems an AI security tool deleted a bunch of stuff. And didn't leave logs. At least not apparent ones.

"Sorry for the duplicate meeting invite. I used copilot for the first one, and it missed a bunch of people. It won't let me delete the first one."

Sometime today an important project at work is 🚨 changing colors🚨 Blame will be laid on *broadly gestures* "us." Perhaps more specifically as the leader: Me. It's inaccurate, I'm not aligned to it. I REALLY want to be defensive but I won't b/c it doesn't work.
Sure wish @kairyssdal was active here. He'd get a kick out of this. I'm writing an opening statement w/ Fed chair Jerome Powell in mind: Fact driven, boring, informative, not alarmist.

I've been told to get the premium version of Copilot at work. OK fine whatever. So as I fill out the form I have to check a bunch of boxes that say I'll crosscheck any results and I agree not to trust it with important work and bla bla bla.
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?!?!
