Happy Birthday an den grauen Ziegelstein! 🎂👾 Heute vor genau 37 Jahren (21. April 1989) kam der erste Game Boy auf den Markt.
Während meine drei Kids heute über kleinste Ruckler meckern oder instinktiv auf dem Display herumwischen wollen, denke ich wehmütig an grüngraue Pixel und das krampfhafte Suchen nach der perfekten Straßenlaterne bei Nachtfahrten auf dem Rücksitz. 🚗💡

Und ein weiteres Beispiel, dass die Kampagnen noch nicht breit genug streuen.

Die einzig richtige Konsequenz von #Liverpool wäre jetzt, von sämtlichen der von Ihnen angesprochenen Plattformen Abstand zu nehmen und die #FediFirst-Strategie zu fahren. #Hass ist das Geschäftsmodell dieser Konzerne.

Statt ein Social-Media-Verbot unter 14 Jahren zu fordern, könnte man die Plattformen auch zu Jugendschutz zwingen, etwa durch Kontrolle der Algorithmen, damit diese nicht mehr so abhängig machen.
Oder eben gleich Plattformen fördern die keine Algorithmen nutzen.
Aber das würde die Profite der Konzerne bedrohen, das will man natürlich nicht.
Davon abgesehen lassen sich Menschen noch viel besser überwachen, wenn sich in Zukunft alle mit Ausweis identifizieren müssen.

Wobei die Grünen mit ganz weitem Abstand führend sind hier. Wir sind afaik die einzige Partei mit eigener Instanz. Da geht sicher noch einiges mehr und die #fedifirst Strategie finde ich toll, aber der Grundstein liegt schonmal.

Check this awesomeness out. @ottergoose featured in a @404mediaco story about his efforts to collect and distribute dash cams to folks in the MSP area to document ICE operations.

My only complaint is his efforts on that for profit garbage fedi knockoff site BlueSky took off, whereas the fedi really didn't show up. Kind of blown away given how charged fedifolks are on this topic.

In 1001 Accurate Memories Berlin artist Alex Head presents patterns of self-repair amongst the ruins of ideas, relationships and human bodies. The author travels across space and time attempting to gain insights into class, disability and trauma through drawing, writing and photography. His investigation into traumatic memory tempts the author to suggest a shift from Germany’s professed ‘memory culture’ to a ‘traumatic memory culture’, in that traumatic memory is greatly more accurate. 

Consequently, 1001 Accurate Memories seeks to locate the reader back within their own skin by highlighting our differentiated but ultimately shared anatomy. 

Birthed from a seven year odyssey into blood, guts and tears, the work proposes that sensations in the body begin wider processes of understanding. By identifying the value of listening to the body in this way, the interpretative role of the human brain becomes more apparent. From this insight stems the ability to see trauma, memory and political propaganda as forms of easily manipulated emotional information. This leads Head to conclude that the primary way to counter such manipulation is the spiritual, physical and mental self-determination of the human body.

There are no special giveaways for pre ordering. The goal is to increase the print run from 100 to 150/200 copies. Each sale creates proportionally more and more copies!
